It's just that great!,

This is my favorite CD in the world. When I say that NOFX is the greatest punk band, it is not just MY opinion. An overwhelming amount of people know that NOFX are just plain the greatest at writing exciting punk music that doesn't get old as they evolve through the years. This live CD has to be bought by YOU! I'm not writing this review for my health. I'm doing it to help YOU make a good CD buying decision. NOFX chose some great songs to put on this. If you are skeptical about buying this because it's live, forget that. The fact that it's live makes it all the better. The recording is great; the best recording on a live CD I've ever heard. All the songs are performed better than on their original CD's and the guitars are really smooth. Hefe and Melvin work really well together and the drums are very clean. Fat Mike's voice is strong and Hefe's trumpet sounds great, especially on "Bob". I also enjoy how the band speaks with each other and interacts with the audience between songs, it makes you feel like you're actually experiencing it. In closing, if you are at least 35% sure that you want this CD, buy it. You will definetely not regret it one bit. I recommend it over all of their studio CD's. It's just that great.

I Heard They DON'T Suck Live!,

Corny title, I know, but it's true. This album makes you feel like you're at that show. You can almost see Mike's bad haircut (if you get the album, you'll know what I'm talking about). The songs are great, the lyrics are changed a bit, but that's okay. The crowd is great, too. NOFX are very talented, and I recommend this album to anyone that likes and/or appreciates true talent.

Good punk - just don't expect anything revolutionary,

This is a fun album. NOFX has always been fun, they're not one of the "serious" punk bands . . . gee I can't think of an example but you know what I mean. This CD has some great songs on it like the opening track and "Moron Brothers" and more. It's also pretty damn funny.

The quality of this recording incredible, the between song banter is hilarious and the songs they perform are great. I can't think of any other live album by any band that even compares to this. Not only is it a great punk rock disc but it is also going to make you laugh your a** off. BUY THIS CD TODAY!

Even GREEATER album,
By Jerry (Milwaukee, WI United States) - See all my reviews

First, I would give this a four and a half stars if possible.Having been a fan of NOFX, and punk music in general, for like 8 years, I have heard practically everything NOFX and Fat Wreck Chords has put out. Im reviewing this album years after I originally bought it. I listened to it yesterday and was immediately brought back to the good times when NOFX had thier sound. It is cool to hear this record when the whole Fat Wreck community was going great, just as a new rebirth of great albums the label is currently putting out. Fat Mikes voice is perfect at this point, able to pierce through the kickass guitar and drum beats. The songs are classics by now, just look at the list. NOFX has the coolest harmonies between the two guitars without sounding pretentious. The interaction between the band and crowd is another reason NOFX is great. Production quality is good, in fact perfect for a punk show. Anyway, this is one of the best NOFX albums to date, not to mention one of the best punk albums, period. I only hope NOFX fades back into thier glory.

I don't like punk but I love this album!,

In fact, they're the ONLY SoCal punk band I like. I'm pretty much a metalhead, from 80s metal to death and black, so punk of any kind isn't really my thing. But there's something indiscribably different about NoFX - I can't put my finger on it. Regularly I find Linoleum or Six-Pack Girls racing through my head. Maybe its because unlike the rest of the SoCal scene they aren't constantly writing poppy sounding tunes (Blink 182, Offspring and all that [stuff]) and trying to enter the charts. Maybe its the fact they unlike most bands, they don't just repeat a few power chords and they actually have some talent. Maybe its the fact that they're songs are actually memorable. Maybe its simply their sense of humour. Whatever it is, this live album stands as the only SoCal punk album in my collection so really, it can't be that bad.

Amazingly tight for a live album. A must for all punk rockers. Best live cd ever!!!!!Very funny too! I've seen these guys three times, and they actually sound this good in concert. A lot of punk bands can't do that!!!!

I haven't actually seen them live... Yet... But soon I hope.... But this CD is really really good, definately one of my favorites.... NOFX is a great band and this album proves it.... They have thier own style of punk rock, it is this old school/new school/ska/regge punk rock.... Really great stuff Pick up this album.... Also NOFX has been around forever and they have always rocked, so pick up some of thier other albums... So Long and Thanks for the Shoes, Punk in Drublic, Ribbed, The Decline.... The list is endless....

This is the best live album I own. It is a great album that has a great mix of songs. Some songs are off the newer tracks, but some are off their older straight punk rock tracks. A MUST BUY FOR ALL NOFX FANS! |
