Not worth the read if you're new to the "I Heart" series and looking for a story set in London. I Heart London really lacks the distinctive travel vibe I've come to enjoy in the previous books, which is a real let down. Angela's hilarious parents, the two best friends (Jenny & Louisa) meeting head on and some cute plot twists help prop this story up, but overall it's the same old Angela failing to communicate like an adult. A bit disappointing, as it would be nice to see some character progression after the same scenarios have been hashed out in 4 previous books. Definitely the weakest link in an otherwise entertaining and addictive series.

Get a glimpse of Britishness here! Author Lindsey Kelk flies her readers to London, immersing them into life in the metropolis, offering an experience that can only be enjoyed by being there.

Descending into Heathrow, Angela, our guide and central character describes the approach, through champagne bleary eyes and this is what she sees:.... "And then it appeared. The opening titles of Eastenders* rolled out underneath me, the ribbon of river curling up and stretching out across the landscape, punctuated by large patches of green. My stomach slipped when I spotted the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye..." And more....Magic FM and drizzle. Primrose Hill and London Zoo. Mahiki and Harvey Nicks. The Gherkin (Angela likes it!). And finally, the decision where to have the quintessential English afternoon tea? Should it be the Ritz or the Wolseley? Angela and her team are quite clear on this one but you will have to read the book to find out! This book really is a case of "seeing a place through an author's eyes" Enjoy!

Awwwww......back in my own homeland, loved this book best as related to the places more than ever 😊
Totally hooked 100% on the tales of Angela, Alex, Jenny, Craig and the rest of the crew that makes these so much FUN to read.
I'm pretty sure I am entertaining my co-travellers on the train, in the mornings and evenings, with my random laughing and sniggering at this book.......I don't mind. This book had me in hysterics and every strangers stare was well worth it 😉

I have grown to love this series more and more, however this latest release is the cream of the crop in my eyes. With Angela visiting London and being on home turf is bound to bring more trouble and chaos, as it normally does with Angela. With loads going on when Angela gets home such as meeting her ex-fiancée, seeing her best friend Louisa and the new baby, as well as he own wedding. In true Angela Clark style things go from bad to worse from the outset. Having left her boyfriend Alex at home, it leaves even more room for drama too.

We also see the return of her other friend Jenny Lopez who I absolutely love. She is the complete opposite of Louisa and is brash, rude but downright entertaining. On my morning commute (which was atrocious as usual) I found that it was a lot more enjoyable than normal, and I need to thank Lindsey Kelk for that. I don't often quote bits of books, but this had me laughing so hard I didn't care about being squashed for the last three stops of my tube journey. Angela's friend is explaining that the only way her baby stops crying is by watching certain TV programmes.

'Top Gear and The Only Way is Essex' she sighed. 'Three months old and she's already a fake-tanned boy racer with a vajazzle'.

It was lines like that that had me chuckling throughout the book. From start to finish I was, as usual, engrossed. I absolutely love all of the characters and especially Angela's parents. I love the fact that we are seeing her grow up and make her numerous mistakes, although they are normally slightly bigger than mistakes! All in all, an absolute corker of a book in this series by Kelk (her best yet!) and I am looking forward to the next one!

Once you started reading I heart New York there is no way you can stop :) It's more than a guilty pleasure and the way Lindsey Kelk writes is intriguing. The various cultural differences she describes are personally quite interesting to me. Am thrilled there will be another book in this series

Not thrilled with this story Too much drinking and getting drunk. Seems to think that is the answer to all her problems. For a smart girl she does many dumb things. Would not read any of her other books.

This book is just fun and interesting from start to finish. I really did enjoy it and I was more interested because I am getting ready to go to London. I know my visit will be nowhere as exciting as this book,
