This was my first time hearing this artist/musician, and was pleansantly surprised at the quality of his voice. The tune itself is a true statement from a Musician with a Night Club owner or any organization, event promoter, etc. I sometimes think they don't understand you have expenses too.
But back to the music. Dave's voice puts him in a rare position of being a very good talent in todays market of why are they recording these artist. I really enjoyed what I've heard so far.

Dave Tull is a wonderful interpreter of humorous jazz lyrics, right up there with Lorraine Feather, Dave Frishberg and Bob Dorough. He also includes some very beautiful ballad work. Musicians will definitely get a kick out of "I Just Want to Get Paid"..............
