This is enjoyable; it will encourage you to book a flight to Naples and never come home! The ending was unusual for this kind of novel; I can't say anything more without giving the plot away! However, if you have a love affair with Italy, you are going to love this book.

For those of you who have never tried Belinda Jones before, try Divas Las Vegas, her first novel - it is excellent fun.

Kim Rees is a translator living in Cardiff, working mostly from home in her pyjamas. She once traveled the world with her job, but after suffering a broken heart has retreated into the safety of her own home and the comfort of the TV...that is until her estranged grandfather from Capri passes away, leaving part of his clothing boutique to Kim's mother. Kim's mother convinces her to come along to Capri to look at the shop and Kim agrees with much trepidation, both at the thought of leaving her comfort zone and the thought of spending a few weeks alone with her mother. This is now the chance to let the magic of Italy work on Kim's relationship with her mother and also to reopen her heart.

This was a wonderful book with touching, true to life relationships and characters. None of them are perfect and sometimes do unkind things, but all just want to find their own happiness and peace. I found the relationship struggles and breakthroughs between Kim and her mother the most touching part of the novel. The descriptions of Capri are fantastic as well. You can almost feel the warm sun and taste the gelato!

What an enjoyable read. There is such joy in reading a book that you just can't put down! I wasn't sure to buy it, because it was thick and I was worried I wouldn't like it...however, I just ate it up and as I came to the end, I wished the book would go on! I wanted to hear more. I actually laughed out loud, sighed...and even cried - it was very entertaining.
AND...the author's description of Capri was just wonderful, I'm alrealy dreaming up a vacation there as I frantically search for more of the author's books....

This is an amazing book that everyone can relate to. It is a MUST read. No one should go through life without having read this book. Belinda Jones portrays hilarious yet incerdibly touching situations that left me speechless.

I picked this up while in Italy a week ago. It was PERFECT! Light, fun, absorbing, with fantastic visuals of Capri and the Amalfi Coast. I would recommend this to any woman wanting to just fantasize for a spell...
I loved the characters who were both interesting and amusing. All Mothers and daughters should have this much fun!
