5.0 out of 5 stars I love my Kindle AND this Blog October 15, 2009
Content: 5 Stars

This blog is filled with tons of information for Kindle owners. The tips for using the Kindle are generally broken down by the type of Kindle (One, Two, or DX) so that any Kindle owner will find useful information.

There are also posts pertaining to Kindle in the news, updates on Amazon's policies, etc. You might even find a book you like or a freebie announced.

My favorite posts are the humor ones. They are all original `jokes' written by Mr. Calvin. They are also all directly Kindle related.

Mr. Calvin obviously does a lot of research to post statistics (along with graphs) on his blog. I'm impressed with the amount of information he keeps up with.

The writing style is excellent for the content. The language is clear and concise.

Timeliness: 5 Stars

There is at least one post a day, which appears to be at about the same time every day.

"Extra" posts are thrown in for time-relevant news.

Online Version: 5 Stars

Are you missing something if you subscribe and don't see the online version? No.

The online version of this blog is exactly what you would expect of a blog specifically designed for the Kindle. There are some extra helpful links, archives, etc., so it's worth a visit now and then. Otherwise, your Kindle Subscription gets you everything.

Editing/Formatting: 5 Stars

Both are of professional quality.

Rating: AKO for All Kindle Owners

5.0 out of 5 stars I love my Kindle too, and I love Bufo's blog! September 6, 2009
I heard Mr. Calvin interviewed on the Kindle Chronicles podcast and began reading his blog from the beginning on August 28. There are a lot of Kindle blogs out there but his is especially entertaining and funny and informative. I'm glad that it is available by subscription straight to my Kindle each day!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite blogs! July 25, 2010
All sorts of content - not limited to only one thing like free books or how to do things. You never know exactly what's coming up next and that's pretty enjoyable. Some of the posts are more applicable to me and my life than others but overall for the price this blog is excellent!

Clearly a passion for Kindle is key and so those of us who are Kindle obsessed will really enjoy this one!

3.0 out of 5 stars Maybe not that much March 19, 2010
This blog spends too much time talking about the Kindle politics. In the couple months I have subscribed to this blog, this blog contained more content arguing text-to-speech, publisher non-conformance and other Kindle politics.

When this blog wasn't discussing politics, it was very useful.

I truly enjoy my Kindle, perhaps even love it, but I enjoy it as a literary resource not a political one.

3.0 out of 5 stars A little less focused with a broader view January 29, 2010
At the time of this review, I Love My Kindle is the second best selling blog devoted to discussing the Kindle. If I was going to subscribe to either one, I'm not sure which way I would go.

The best selling blog is Kindle Nation Daily: The inside scoop on all things Kindle. That blog is focused almost entirely on the Kindle. It includes hints on using the Kindle, articles about the Kindle, and free book offers. I decided not to subscribe, for reasons I gave in my review for it.

So, what's different about this blog? While both blogs are oriented towards the Kindle, the focus is different. The good news (for me) is that I Love My Kindle covers more than just the Kindle. It also discusses the entire eReader ecosystem, including other eReaders, Publishers, etc. The author also includes occassional "humorous" articles. While I don't think that the author is a danger to those who attempt to make a living writing humor, at least he doesn't take himself seriously. On the other hand, I haven't seen a single article about free books or other such items. Also, it appears that the author of I Love My Kindle only publishes one article per day.

All in all, while there are some things this blog does better and other things it does worse than Kindle Nation Daily, I don't think I'll be subscribing to either one of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWSOME BLOG!! May 14, 2010
My Kindle was a gift for christmas and this was the first thing I downloaded. I have to say that I have learned so much stuff that Amazon doesn't really tell you. I look foward to reading "I Love My Kindle" every day. The freebies of books thru Amazon he lets u know about are great. Keep them coming Bufo Calvin!!

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZON & KINDLE ARE FANTASTIC!!! March 27, 2010
I have had my Kindle since Christmas, and I love it! I'm an avid reader from Philadelphia where new & used bookstores abound. For 9 years I've lived in rural Alabama, where the nearest ( limited ) library is 17 miles away, and a major retailer like borders or Barnes&Noble are in Montgomery Alabama. That's a 31/2 hour round trip. So my Kindle is my life line to the civilized world. Today I discovered a small problem that my Amazon tech couldn't resolve. Amazon is replacing my Kindle at no cost because it's likely the pro blem could get worse. They are transfering my content because I am a ignoramus with downloading 2 computor and back 2 new Kindle. I love Amazon! If only they would train Wal-Mart cashiers and floor "associates" this world would be greatly improved. My Amazon tech was super nice, polite, Knowledgable, and did everything possible to give my situation a happy ending. And it is a happy ending. Thanx Amazon, and thanx to my nameless friend who helped me out when I called your customer help line.

Remote page turner
I'd like one too - It would be a lot easier to read in bed and on the treadmill if I could keep my arms away from the device itself. A small usb-plugin with a couple buttons on it would be a great accessory.
