Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com
Tiffany Pollard (aka New York) didn't end up finding everlasting love in the first season of I Love New York. But don't cry for the sassy, foul-mouthed would-be diva. The "rejection" allowed her to shoot season two of the series. Like fellow tacky reality dating shows A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, Rock of Love, and Flavor of Love (where we first met New York), I Love New York makes a faint attempt at pretending to be a hipper version of the The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. But what it's really interested in doing is seeing just how far a group of "eligible" men will go to win the cold heart of New York (talking about the size of his manhood, posing as a life coach, or be a life coach, or toe-sucking; clearly, good taste has no place on this series). Which brings us to New York and her brassy mother, who has even more input this year as to who the right man is for her daughter. Cussing up a storm and lavishing lots of negative attitude on the cast of potential Mr. New Yorks, both mother and daughter do their best to select a guy who'll be good enough for the finale--but not so good that the third season will be in jeopardy. The cast of characters vying for New York's heart include Tailor Made, Buddha and Midget Mac--who doesn't seem to find his name as offensive as he should. Even knowing that the men chose to inflict this disaster on themselves, the viewer feels almost sorry for this sad crew that is so desperate for its collective 15 minutes of fame that they signed up for this show. Programs like this profess to be a legitimate way of finding soulmates for the quasi-celebs. But all they really aim to do is get high enough ratings so that the producers can justify okaying subsequent seasons. --Jae-Ha Kim

5.0 out of 5 stars It's like a disaster you can't look away from, May 3, 2009
By L. S. Williams (martinsville, indiana) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
We met Tiffany (New York) Pollard as she vied for the love of Flavor Flav on his reality dating show. We also got to see her crazy mother, sister patterson. Well in I love new york 2 Tiffany and sister patterson are back with a whole new housefull of guys, one of which ends up going home with sister patterson in the end. Why these somewhat goodlooking guys would put up with drama queen pollard no one will ever get me to understand, all I can think is it must be the 15 minutes of fame. Because Tiffany to me seems to have no redeeming qualities and oftens treats the guys like something she scraped off the bottom of her over priced shoes. But like with a lot of VH1 reality shows, it's such a train wreck that you have to tune in each week to see what sheer stupidity these poor jerks are going to be subjected to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even better than the 1st season , January 4, 2009
Since I enjoyed the 1st season of the show I watched every episode of season 2.

I think for TV it was better than the 1st season.

The fights made the season.

My favorite changed. At the beginning of the season my favorite was Ezra (Buddha) but that changed at the end to David (Punk). As I write this he is now with Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson.

George (Tailor Made) no way!! Money & does what ever it takes to get what he wants. But OF COURSE, if you watched it, he was kicked to the curb in "New York Goes to Hollywood".

Ok, extras on the DVD package. Glad the reunion special was here. I keep in mind Flavor of Love season 2 where the DID NOT include the reunion.

If you enjoyed any season of Flavor of Love & or the 1st season of New York you should enjoy this season & the DVD package.

MOSTLY UNCUT. Not totally uncut. That, like the season 1 package is a disappointment.

And, before it airs, I Love money 2 will have Ezra & George. BUT WHY GEORGE WHEN HE IS MADE OF MONEY & HAS NOTHING ELSE TO OFFER ANY WOMAN?

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love New York wow, July 17, 2008
It was good. better than season one. In this season she had alot
of sexy and goodlooking men that I wouldnt mind calling my man. if
only Real was in season two, he would add to the sexyness she had
walking around her mansion. other then that I loved it. The only
thing I would say about New Yorks top three men is that she should
have had Punk and Buddah as her final two. thats the mistake she made.
Punk was good to go. I'd rather see her with Punk rather then tailor
made. why would you choose a man who spit in someones face. and besides
tailor made was a little pussy with money. and he cant fight worth a
damn. the show was awsome its worth the buy. check it out.....
