Ear for Music,

This album is just what you're looking for. I picked it up just out of curiousity after hearing a couple of the songs from their first album. I think Sony hit the jackpot on this one though. These guys all have unique voices, particularly the new vocalist, Rick. The songs swing pretty hard, and are great for dancing. I'd put this on the top of my list ina heartbeat.

My best salsa Cd for dance party with beginner,

This review is from: I Love Salsa (Reis) (Audio CD)
I have organised several little salsa dance party last year. The problem, at least in my country (switzerland), is the gap between the level of people taking course and the level you need to have in big salsa parties, cause of the speed of music. My goal was to make a bridge, some middle level parties. The two main problems are the speed of music and if it is easy for beginners to "read" it (find claves rythm or bell rythm or other ryhtm to start first step and keep their steps in the rythm). And I don't like to use the pitch. I precise that in Switzerland, our "natural""basic" rythmsense level is near the absolute zero. Finding the music, good challenge!!
Salsa of N'klabe is the best one I have fund. Beginners, advanceds, everybody in my parties was delighted by their music. With the additionnal point that you can dance both cuban and NY style on it. Everybody is happy.
