Ear for Music,
This review is from: I Love Salsa (Audio CD)
This album is just what you're looking for. I picked it up just out of curiousity after hearing a couple of the songs from their first album. I think Sony hit the jackpot on this one though. These guys all have unique voices, particularly the new vocalist, Rick. The songs swing pretty hard, and are great for dancing. I'd put this on the top of my list ina heartbeat.

My best salsa Cd for dance party with beginner,

This review is from: I Love Salsa (Reis) (Audio CD)
I have organised several little salsa dance party last year. The problem, at least in my country (switzerland), is the gap between the level of people taking course and the level you need to have in big salsa parties, cause of the speed of music. My goal was to make a bridge, some middle level parties. The two main problems are the speed of music and if it is easy for beginners to "read" it (find claves rythm or bell rythm or other ryhtm to start first step and keep their steps in the rythm). And I don't like to use the pitch. I precise that in Switzerland, our "natural""basic" rythmsense level is near the absolute zero. Finding the music, good challenge!!
Salsa of N'klabe is the best one I have fund. Beginners, advanceds, everybody in my parties was delighted by their music. With the additionnal point that you can dance both cuban and NY style on it. Everybody is happy.

N'klabe are no betting men... they play it safe,

This new group does show that it has potential. The brass is good, and the voices hit at the right times. It will be no secret to those that listen to this album that N'klabe are not only proud of their puertorican heritage, but also display many of the stylistic nuances associated with salsa music from the island.
The problem is that it makes them sound somewhat dated. If this same album had come out five years ago I would have rated it one star higher. And what's funny is I also recently bought packete salsera by Tabaco y Ron, a group with a focus for redoing old songs, and found that group more modern, innovative, and willing to take risks. Maybe I am judging them a bit too harshly, and I really doubt any salsa fan will find them lacking. So if you like that good old puertorican salsa, you will like this album. But if you want a little more excitement like me(and I am puertorican), get the Tabaco y Ron CD.

Song number one is the only song worth mentioning in this CD. all other salsa songs are boring and no life at all. i would recommend the Fresca Salsa Hits of the 90s which contains all great salsa tunes which are great to dance with and really worth your money and your time.

The first time I heard of these guys was when they opened for Victor Manuelle at a show that I saw in Miami. They did there thing. They got the crowd going with their vocals and there dance moves. The Groups is up by Hector, Felix, and Ricky. Not only is NKLABE 3 talented singers but their band is made up of a bunch young talented musicians. After I saw the show I had to buy the CD and it's great. The best tracks on the CD are I Love Salsa, Evitare, Quizas, Amor de Una Noche, and Tiempo. This CD has great tracks to dance to and they sound awesome. Check out the CD, you won't be disappointed =) I LOVE SALSA!!!!

Finally, a new salsa group worth listening to. I love reggaeton, but you can't forget salsa. These guys remind me a lot of The Adolescent's Orchestra.
1.) I Love Salsa (Bangin song) 2.) Evitare (my favorite song) 6.) Amor de Una Noche 7.) Tiempo
