why is this book out of print???, November 10, 2009
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
I Love You is the most wonderful book in the world for children ages 1 though 5, and IT IS OUT OF PRINT!!!! I discovered it when I was teaching kindergarten, and in the 5 or 6 years I used it in my classroom before I retired, it was, hands down, the children's favorite book. They used to fight over it! Until recently, it was always in the basket of books I bought for friends' grandchildren, and I got rave reviews from the parents and grandparents about how their children wanted it read every night!
WHY IS IT OUT OF PRINT?????

A Great Way To Boost a Child's Love of Reading!, July 7, 2007
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
I have just recently introduced this book to my 3 yr. and 4 yr. old granddaughters. They LOVE to read it to us! It serves as a cute story AND a great tool to promote the love of reading. Even very young children can manage the few repeated words along with the humorous but simple pictures. They also can use the rhyming schemes as great clues.
This is a great book pleaser for any pre-schooler....and grandparent!

Good for toddlers, too, April 17, 2000
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
This book is great. The colors are bright and are of familiar and fun things (bunnies, sheep, etc). My 1 1/2 year old likes it. She can even identify some of the pictures in the rebus. I don't know if she knows she's helping me "read", but it's a fun, new way to read a book together. I would buy more books like this in a minute.

We love this book, March 22, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
My 3 1/2 year old son thinks he can read this book - the symbols make it easy for him to "read". The smile on his face is priceless. He is soooo proud of himself! This book has boosted his confidence. He took it to school today to "read" to his friends. Plus - it's a beatiful poem. I am looking for another book like this. BUY THIS ONE!

This Book is a Family Treasure, December 17, 2010
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
I first bought this book for my kids many years ago from a bookstore. Since then, I have bought this book for all of my nieces and nephews. It's very interactive - the kids absolutely LOVE shouting out what the pictures say, especially when they learn the story and know what comes next. It's a treasure.
Educationally I have heard that it is good for the kids to equate the picture with words as it establishes what we are doing when we are reading words rather than pictures. Great book.

Wonderful book, August 5, 2008
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
I love You: a rebus poem book by Jean Marzullo..it is wonderful. I read it to my grandson as a baby and because of the simplicity, rhyming words and picture prompts he was always engaged. He is now almost 5 and he reads it to his little sister. As an added memory, I wrote the date 1/4/05 in the cover and wrote the temperature outside, I do it every year on that date...just another fun thing for us grand parents!

Two boys' review: Sing it together at bedtime, July 29, 2008
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
I started reading this book to my sons several years ago. I liked the illustrations and the rhyme and found that with a quick hand turning pages, I could sing it to them as well as I could read it. My sons used to repeat the chorus, "...and, I Love You."
Over the years, we've developed a three-part harmony (trust me, it isn't as good as it might sound) and we sing to their mother at bedtime. The book has also been reintroduced as an early reader, now that they are 5-years old and 4-years old.
This item is eligible for Amazon's 4-for-3 promotion as I write this review, which means you're getting a great value whether this is for your children or to be given as a gift.
I recommend it for your bedtime reading collection, for children ages one to six.

Wonderful Book for toddlers and preschoolers, February 27, 2008
This review is from: I Love You: A Rebus Poem (Hardcover)
I had to buy this book for the second time as it got so much use it finally fell apart. My kids love this book 2 & 4. My 2 year old walks around with the book saying I LOVE YOU. I actually have to hide this book when I need to do things around the house because I get followed around hearing I love you with the book waving in the air. SOOO Cute! A must get book!
