I have tried Shure SE215 along with numerous other top end brands and have never been satisfied with the sound I get on stage. Always to much high end and no warmth...I decided to give these a try as the look appealed to me, they very much look custom in every way and from reading the specs. Two gigs later and I can say I am very pleased ! Vocals have nice warmth, no harshness, the fit is super comfy and they provide great isolation ! I should add that I am a drummer in a classic rock cover band, anyway These are gtoing to sell well once they catch on ! the price is crazy low for the quality you get ! Awesome !

For the price they are OK. Interesting how people view sound quality so different. Another person describes them as warm and that is one way of describing them but not really my take. There is no concern for these monitors being shrill or too harsh in any way. The cable is solid and they also look nice, but that is about it for positive aspects. I play bass and guitar and use them for in ear monitors on stage, and for that purpose they were OK. So the bad for me. The custom fit pieces that can be attached are terrible and take away any quality of sound the headphones might produce (long echo chamber and little bass - drivers not actually near ear canal). With just the standard tips the sound is OK. The bass is decent (not boomy) but seems to be boosted a bit much for my taste (could be perceived as warmth). However, from low mids all the way through highs there is very little definition or clarity. This is a problem since most musical definition comes through midrange frequencies and some highs (highs should sparkle not be flat or shrill). If you are wanting a "FLAT" response headset (not bass boosted like all the cheap headphones out there) than look elsewhere since these headphones focus on lows and lack clarity. So, all that being said, they are just OK for me. Not so great for listening to music if wanting to hear all the nuances in music. If you are looking for a more rounded in ear monitor the Shure SE 215 (even though one other person found them harsh) or step up to some Westone Pro 10's or even better Westone UM2RC (what I currently use for stage and home). Now I just loan the I-Mego's to people as needed. Good luck

I am new to in-ear monitors, having spent most of my musical career using floor wedges, fighting to get heard through the mix. Moving into the world of in-ear monitors is like going from black and white television to color! The best part? Being able to make your own mix. Now I can hear my guitar part above the rest of the mix and not have to worry about it being overpowering in the house mix. But, I have had that luxury with floor monitors too (personal mix). What makes these in-ears great is that not only does the stage look neater, but the sound is clearer and tighter - you're not hearing the reverb of the room conflicting with the monitor mix. These specific in-ears are great because they are customizable. They come with a bunch of different ear pieces for all sizes and shapes. I personally use the smallest size and they work great. They cut out extraneous noise - great at cancelling - and all I hear is sweet music. This is a great buy and I would definitely purchase this again if I were to lose them... excellent purchase. five stars.

I am fairly new to the IEM market. I play music on stage quite often and needed a good pair. I saw these and loved the design with the gold and the overall look. I usually spend more money for something that looks great. That being said, the overall sound quality is terrible. The custom ear pieces fit very nicely but distorts the sound. I like crystal clear sound and these are far from it. I tried the different molds and it didn't help. I ordered a pair of the SHURE SE215's at the same time and those are fantastic. The fit is better than the Ztone and the sound quality is that of a much more expensive pair. Go with the Shure's for sure! (get it?)

Pros: Good cable quality, nice addition of the gold, custom ear pieces fit well

Cons: Terrible sound quality, rubber ear insert is not removable, sticks out of ear quite far (not conspicuous)

I'm not a total audiophile, and I don't use these on-stage (not a musician), but I do like to be able to hear the subtleties of the music I listen to, and I like the detail to be crisp enough to avoid any muddying of the sound. Admittedly, at first, I was not impressed with these phones. This is my first set of IEMs, and I found them to be quite uncomfortable, and the bass to be substantially less impressive than I had read (i.e. it was barely audible). Also, the isolation wasn't particularly great. However, after some further experimentation with the different earpieces, I found them to be much more impressive. I had tried out all in-canal attachments (dual-flange, pseudo-custom fit, or whatever, as opposed to the smaller, single flange attachments that also come with the phones) when I first received them, and originally selected the smallest ones - as I mentioned, my first set of IEMs, so I was not accustomed to what they should feel like.

After purchasing, I read a couple of reviews from other online sources which stated that either the pseudo-custom in-canal attachments were essentially useless. At one point, when I tired of the uncomfortable, small custom attachments, I tried out the single-flanges - there was a great improvement in overall sound quality, and especially the bass (when properly fitted, you can really feel the bass in your head - obviously just a sensory illusion since the drivers are so small, but it's a nice effect) when a better seal is achieved. However, my left ear canal seems to be shaped pretty awkwardly, and the IEMs tended to loosen over time when I used the single flange attachments, and eventually lost the ever-important isolation seal.
