Great New Voice in Country Music, June 10, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: I Meant to / I Miss Me (Audio CD)
I watched this season of Nashville Star, and was immediately impressed with Brad Cotter's professionalism and confidence. He competed against some great personalities and voices, but his songwriting abilities set him apart from the rest of the competition. Truly a people's choice singer, he was not even one of the original finalists chosen by the judges - the people voted him in, and ultimately voted him the winner. "I Meant To" is a fantastic song with a rolling, rhythmic beat that sticks with you hours after you've heard it. "I Miss Me" is a gentle ballad with a unique perspective. Both songs are outstanding. Brad Cotter certainly has potential to become one of country music's superstars.

An up and coming great!, July 5, 2004
This review is from: I Meant to / I Miss Me (Audio CD)
Listen to these two songs and you will know that Brad Cotter is not just another pretty face with those bedroom eyes (don't look at them girls or you'll never care if he ever sings a note!} It is plainly evident from the elegantly crafted lyrics of his songs that here is a man who knows livin' and lovin' from all sides. As someone with no connection with the music industry other than I just love good music of all types, Brad Cotter is all that country has drifted away from--reflective "loving life no matter what it throws you" kind of music. I don't doubt that either of these songs will go #1 and easily could cross charts. When I watched him on Nashville Star he reminded me of others I have picked to go on and be great, such as Reba, and George Strait, and Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks. Buy this album people people, his voice his wonderfully melodic, his songs unfurl the emotions, and his melodies uniquely simple and fresh. Just don't get too close--I can tell this one is a heartbreaker!! PS to all those in the recording industry in Nashville, I reiterate what the judges said last season "Shame on you" for letting people like those represented on the Nashville Stars hang out in your hallways for ten years. I cant tell half of the girls apart other than they are all screamers and there is alot more to sex appeal than a man's body-especially when it is supposed to be about the music (no offense Brad).

The Tops, July 12, 2004
This review is from: I Meant to / I Miss Me (Audio CD)
I have bought a lot of cds in the past, based on having one favorite song on it. Bring it home and listen to the rest and still only like the one song. I bought Brad Cotters new cd. ALL and I mean ALL the songs are Great. this young man is the total package. Gifted songwriter, an honest voice and more talent than you can shake a stick at. I was very impressed. Brad has a wide range to his voice and the song choices keep the album moving. I give Patient Man 5 stars and suggest you run out and buy this wonderful cd.
