My son and I watched Between the Lions and they read this book today. My son LOVED it, and so did I. My husband often travels for business, me less so, and this is a great book for showing kids we will do anything to get home to them. I'm getting two copies of this book before either of us takes one more trip, and the away parent can read it to my son over the phone before bed!

This book is by far the best "feel good" book I have read to my children since, "Guess How Much I Love You" by Anita Jeram.
The fantastic phone dialogue, between this traveling mother and her child, who is at home missing her, shows children that there is NOTHING a mother will not do to be with her children. There is a great geographical variety in this book, from the desert, filled with camels and sand, to a past time and place where magical dragons exsist. In the end the child and mother are reassured that mom will be coming home soon-no matter what. This book is a must for all children, especially those who have traveling mothers.

It is relatively recent that my nearly 5 year old will be still and interested in reading stories and it's been impossible to predict just what will hold his interest. Well, after initially refusing to read this book, now he reads it nightly to me because he has every single word memorized. We share such sweetness and warmth reading this together.

My nieces and nephews love hearing this cute story! They ask for it time and time again! The bold illustrations are wonderful. Two thumbs up!

Several years ago my daughter and I saw this book on Between the Lions. We instantly fell in love with it. I missed the title and author. I've been looking for it for years. I finally found it! My daughter is now 6. She still loves it. I don't travel much, but we have family far away and are preparing her for her first extended stay with grandma. This book is perfect for reassuring her. There are books that I hope to give my daughter so that she will share with her children many years from now. This book is definitely one of them. This books portrays all the sentiments of what I would like to do for my daughter

WOnderful fo those who have children at home and may travel often. Great for parents (not too long to read). . . and wonderful for preschoolers learning to read. . ..

My daughter is 6 years old and really enjoys listening to this CD and following along with the book at bedtime. It is one of her favorites.

My almost 2 year old has me read this book to very often! He prefers this book over any other and we have been reading it since he was months old!!! We liked it to so much I bought it for my niece!

My daughter loves I love you Stinky Face so i was so excited to see that there were more Stinky Face titles out there for her to enjoy. I bought this one for her because it was after valentines day and i was getting a little tired of reading Merry Christmas Stinky Face everyday to her. She was happy to get another Stinky Face book and ended up loving this one as well. Her favorite part was when the mommy was flying on the dragon.If your children like Stinky Face, i would definitely grab this for them

This is a great bedtime story in general, but it is even more applicable for those moms who travel for work and want to reassure their little ones that they will ALWAYS come home to them. (e.g. via airplane, riding a leopard, the space shuttle, etc) Wonderful illustrations! Also highly recommend her other book "I love you Stinky Face".
