This review is from: ineo I-NIA302U, 3.5-Inch IDE/SATA Hybrid External Hard Drive Enclosure to USB 2.0 Galaxy Neon Light (Black) (Personal Computers)
I just received this today and it works great (like most of these). It has a nice blue led that makes the unit glow when being used. Its not too bright though and adds to my home studio vibe.
I installed a WD IDE HDD and had no problems securing it in place. The HDD felt secure without using screws. I did find it odd that the screw holes on the unit didn't match up with me Western Digital HDD, but maybe they're set up for SATA drives. It was immedicately recognized and worked the first time. The finger screws are a nice feature and look better than screw heads. After having it on for a couple hours and running a full virus scan on my drive the outside of the unit was barely warm at all. That's all I know and now you know it too! I would recommend this product.

I purchase the ineo I-NIA302U, 3.5-Inch IDE/SATA Hybrid External Hard Drive Enclosure Kit. For my Seagate 1TB Hard Drive which I got from Wal-Mart for $18 dollars. However when I found out that my Dell Dimension 3000 didn't have SATA. I decided to buy the ineo I-NIA302U, 3.5-Inch IDE/SATA Hybrid External Hard Drive Enclosure Kit. It was simple to install and without any problems it was easy and fun. Also I love the blue LED lights. Which gives off a nice cool blue effect on the enclosure kit.
Pros: 1. Easy to remove thumb screws 2. Nice Blue LED Lights + Iron Mesh design for Cooling 3. Nice Horizontal or Vertical with Stand Cons: 1. SATA Cable is too small and hard to plug into the HD 2. SATA Power Cable is too small and hard to plug into the HD

This enclosure is sleek and sexy with it's liquid cool-blue light glowing during operation. For the most part this was a fairly straight forward install taking an old unused internal 500 Gb and making it into something useful again. The drawback were the cables used inside for custom connections - they were too short and so I had to make do with not-so-terrific cable runs (the wires lay across some of the circuits.
Overall, a great product and will probably be buying more.

All Around Poor Quality,

All of the component parts can be disassembled. The parts however are cheap quality. One screw broke within a month or two. The converter cable for SCSI/IDE broke inside the connection, so now there is a little piece of plastic inside the connector...making that part useless now. Go for something with shock protection also. This fell at about 18 inch height and the hard drive enclosed was ruined. Its just not a good value. If I had paid an extra $15 for something better maybe I would have my hard drive and data now.
