...honestly only about 2.5 or 3.if this was a beat cd then it would've been a banger but it's not.necro's lyrics just don't cut it.you can tell that he was still trying to develope his style.stand out tracks are "the most sadistic" & "underground".the frestyles at the end of the album were decent even though he wasn't really freestyling.i wouldn't by this,i'd try to get...

A MUST HAVE FOR ALL TRUE HIP-HOP HEADS...

Necro is a white/Jewish rapper from Brooklyn, NY. He has been in the game for awhile, although he hasn't of yet garnered the fame that he deserves. Necro completely rips it up on this album. His lyrical abilities are not to be messed with and his content matter will make some parents go running back for that Eminem CD they through out. The album's tracks flow perfectly into one another. Here's a review of each track:

1. The Most Sadistic - this sets the tone for the entire album. Instead of starting off with a tired intro, Necro busts right into a blazing beat. (Oh yeah, he produces all of his own beats, along with beats for underground groups Non-Phixion and Missing Linx). The song features his brother from Non-Phixion, Ill Bill.

2. Hoe Blow - one of Necro's 2 odes to oral sex. This one is downright hysterical. The chorus is a twist of "Here We Go" by Khadejah Bass feat The Product G & B, off Funkmaster Flex's album.

3. I Need Drugs - arguably the best song on here. Necro takes LL Cool J's "I Need Love" and corrupts it; that's a good thing. Even if you don't know the original, this song is great

4. Your F----ing Head Split - I want to say the beat is raw, but then I have no words for the lyrics. Phat track.

5. Your Dead - the beat is funny. The lyrics are scary. The chorus is hysterical. This song was stuck in my head for days. Also features Ill Bill.

6. Get On Your Knees - this is an underground classic. Samples Dionne Warwick, and not in a good way. Necro's 2nd ode to oral sex, where he wanders thru the world of pornography. Very clever song, with a great sample turned perverse.

7. Rugged S--t - strictly for the hardcore fans. Tight lyrics.

8. I'm Sick Of You - upbeat fast paced dis song. I think it may be toward a rapper called Marshall Mathers. You may have heard of him.

9. Cockroaches - samples the movie Scarface for the chorus. Listen to the song and find out what's going on in Necro's life.

10. F--- You To The Track - one of the weak spots on the album

11. Burn The Groove To Death - not sure where the sample on this one came from. Average song.

12. Underground - this is my favorite song on the cd by far. Samples the Monkeys. The beat is one of the greatest beats I've heard, and I have over 900 cd's. Words do not describe the genious of this song. The CD is worth it just for this song.

13. STD - a semi skit... funny.

14-17 are freestyles. Show Necro's true MC skills.

Basically.... Buy the damn album!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! VERY ORIGINAL AND VERY GOOD!, March 28, 2003

I AM GOING TO SAY STRAIGHT OUT SAYING I HAD SOME DOUBTS WHENI SAW THE ALBUM COVER. I HEARD HIS PRODUCTION ON CAGE'S C.D. "MOVIES FOR THE BLIND" AND NON-PHIXION'S "FUTURE IS NOW". I PURCHASED THIS C.D. USED THINKING- "HEY- AT LEAST THE BEATS WILL BE DOPE." MAN- THIS WHITE BOY IS NO JOKE. FIRST OFF, HE IS VERY ORIGINAL WITH THE CONTENTS OF HIS FLOW. HIS STYLES IS BEST DESCRIBE AS CRAZY AS BROTHER LYNCH HUNG-FUNNY AS CHINO XL- AND A MUCH BETTER VERSION OF EMINEM'S SO CALLED STYLE. THIS GUY IS DOPE. SO DOPE- I COULDN'T DECIDE WHICH IS BETTER- HIS BEATS OR HIS RAPS. WHILE THE COMMERCIAL RAPPERS TALK ABOUT WOMEN, BLING-BLING, CARS AND THE UNDERGROUND RAPPERS TALK ABOUT HOW SMART THEY ARE AND HOW "THEY KEEP IT REAL" SOUNDING A LITTLE TOO SPIRITUAL...ALONG COMES A GUY WHO DARES TO BE DIFFERENT. HE IS WICKED AND TALKS ABOUT DEATH,SEX AND DRUGS. HIS LYRICS ARE THE VERBAL VERSION OF THE MOVIE COLLECTIONS OF "FACES OF DEATH". THIS WAS PROBABLY DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR THE BEST PURCHASE I'VE MADE. ALMOST NO FILLERS- EVERY TRACK IS A BANGER! THANK YOU NECRO FOR MAKING ME LAUGH AND NOD MY HEAD LIKE ... IN YOUR MUSIC SKITS. BEFORE YOU GO OFF CALLING HIM UP LISTEN TO HIS VERBAL SKILLS. HE CAN DISH OUT CRAZY METAPHORS THAT ONLY CHINO XL AND CANIBUS CAN TOUCH. AND BARELY. THIS CD WILL NOT AND CANNOT LEAVE DISSAPOINTED. BY PURCHASING THIS ALBUM- UNDERSTAND THAT ALMOST 90% OF THE MONEY GOES TO THE RAPPER- SO SUPPORT UNDERGROUND/INDEPENDENT ARTISTS. AND OF COURSE THE COMPARISON- NECRO VS. EMINEM. I MUST SAY NECRO WITHOUT A DOUBT.

This is some crazy, dark, and macabre rap/hip hop. The man's insane and its definitely some excellent post Wu Tang rap that is some of the best rap I've heard in a long time. Not for the faint of heart..

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting listen., September 3, 2004
This review is from: I Need Drugs (Audio CD)
Necro is definitely different. He loves death, porn, and more death. The guy has a lisp and his flow stumbles and shows an awkwardness on the mic, but his voice is perfect for what he's talking about. I don't consider him a good emcee, but one of the most entertaining. When I throw any of his albums in its more like watching an old horror film like Evil Dead or something than it is actually listening to music. He's graphic to say the least, but to his credit he NEVER comes out of character. The reason this got 4 stars though and not 3 is because of the production. Some of the beats on this album are incredible and I'm suprised every single underground artist isn't trying to hit him up for some music, because its some of the most impressive, you couldn't screw it up with the weakest rhyme. If you're a head and you can understand that this is just music, than I'd definitely recommend getting this album. Its good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Necro, December 19, 2004

Alright first off, I was reading some reviews and a few people are talking about how Necro sucks at his lyrics and ish like that. well maybe YOU'RE the one who needs to actually sit and listen to the lyrics. Maybe if you did you'll realize that Necro has amazing lyrical talents. His lyrics are what makes some of his songs where his beats may lack. Anyway, this CD is the best of the best of underground horror hop or death rap, whatever you wanna call it.

This is one of my favorite underground albums. Necro keeps it sick throughout the entire album. His amazing rappin abilities, although portrayed on his most recent release "Gory Days," are portrayed greatly on this album. His ryhmes are intelligent, yet understandable without insulting the intelligence of the listener. I'm just gonna say it like this: If you like it sick and are a huge fan of underground hiphop, either you already have this album or are planning to get it!

5.0 out of 5 stars killer mc with skills, January 14, 2003
This review is from: I Need Drugs (Audio CD)
Necro would like you to believe he is a gun toting, ho pimping, crack smoking scumbag who's just as likely to kill your mother as he is to bust a rhyme. I don't know how much of his stylo is fiction, but this guy can rap, and has some of the best beats and flow out there today. His lyrics are ridiculous... if you think Slim Shady is the king of controversy, pick this up and learn the error of your ways. Necro is a better MC and lyricist than Eminem (or the losers affiliated with ICP...HA) will ever be.

Songs like You're Dead (my fav), Underground, and Get on Your Knees have dark keyboard/basslines, uptempo beats, and solid lyrics that run the gamut of twisted imagery, from gang hits gone awry to crackhouse shenanigans. His new album Gory Days is way better as far as production goes, but fans of this stuff should pick up I Need Drugs as well.

This guy, along with Company Flow and Jedi Mind Tricks, is the saviour of underground hip hop, and if you are sick of what major labels shove down your throat, get on the Necro tip.

My guess is this album will start to sell a lot more copies now that the Non Phixion album is out. This is a very raw album and it features Necro's cousin ILL BILL from Non Phixion on two of the songs. In actuality Necro is probably doper lyrically than all the members of Non Phixion. Skillwise Necro has a very intricite delivery. Perhaps the only drawback to Necro is that he often takes his insane steez a little over the edge. The beats are very ill and overall it's a pretty good album.
