Want some help in getting your life together? well I think you need this.., September 19, 2007
This review is from: I Need Therapy (Paperback)
I was fortunate to have met Ms Wallace at the Sister 2 Sister Expo here in Mobile last weekend. At first I thought it was another novel, but I am not against a self help book, and it took me another trip back to her booth to realize that and for her hubby to beef it up and convince me to buy it. I went around, and came back to meet her. She was quite warm and personable, and we keep in touch online now. Mostly through MySpace. Now on to the book. This book is for those of us who need some help in keeping our personal business our own, citing personal experiences, like in Taking Responsiblity for our health, she speaks about finding out she has breast cancer, getting treatment, and being healed from it.She speaks about the men in her life and the lessons they have taught her along the way. Also a specific chapter in getting that special man to say I DO. Some chapters are for the men on how to deal with a woman's needs since some may not know. Good interesting reading for those of you who are looking to help yourself to the next level and keeping it real.

I Need Therapy, July 8, 2008
This review is from: I Need Therapy (Paperback)
I originally ordered this book as a gag gift for my girlfriend, with everything that we were going through in our relationship, I felt she needed some "THERAPY" (seriously) We were definitely headed for a break up.
When the book arrived, my girlfriend got so caught up in reading it, she finished it the same day. I also got the best sex of my life later that night. I attributed the obvious changes in her behavior and attitude to Ms. Wallace's book and decided to read it for myself. I was throughly entertained by some of the stories that she cited in her book, she addressed sensitive issues like sexuality, self-esteem and "Do or Die" relationship mistakes that could make or break a relationship. She illustrates her knowledge by using real life experiences throughout the book.
I identified with the chapter, "What Every Man Should Know About Women." I felt as though she were referring to me as she talked about how some men often take their woman's emotional and sexual needs for granted.
I applaud Ms. Wallace for coming up with a practical, easy-to-read, "self-help" guide that was written not only for women, but for men as well!
Ms. Wallace truly covers all the bases, and leaves no stone unturned.
"I Need Therapy" balances the happiness, hurt, pleasures and pains of relationships. If you have or haven't experienced the ups and downs of relationship you need to read this book!
Kudos!!! Ms Wallace, can't wait for your next book

My Own Brand of Therapy, June 28, 2008
This review is from: I Need Therapy (Paperback)
I NEED THERAPY by Glenda A. Wallace is a self-help book with a twist. The twist is the in-your-face manner in which the author dispenses knowledge, a knowledge based on her own experiences. I NEED THERAPY is a small book packed with a lot examples of how to right wrongs done to you and by you.
While the book is geared towards women, there are a few chapters dedicated to men such as "What Every Man Should Know About Women", and "Romantic Things That Women Love." Within most chapters the author cites examples or tells a story related to the theme of the chapter. While I NEED THERAPY is not an analytical study into building self confidence and esteem, it is an easy-to-read, self-help book which may pull in readers by its length and the layman terms used.
