while working a 12 hour night shift on the psychiatric unit of a large teaching hospital, I was busy documenting patient charts, when all of a sudden, this hauntingly beautiful voice and lyrics permeated my entire being..I had to stop and relish in the beauty, the versatility, the mixture of power and such sweetness in this song..I was compelled to call the radio station to find out who was singing this amazing song...found out it was LeAnn Rimes and the song.."I Need You"...touched my soul..couldn't work for awhile and I'm not even a "country" music fan...this is an unbelievably hauntingly beautiful work of musical art!

I have never been a fan of Leann Rimes but after hearing this song, she has won me over. The words are beautiful and the voice, amazing! It touches me deeply everytime I hear it. Look out Celine and Mariah, this is one ballad you missed out on.

I am not a fan of LeAnn Rimes though I don't doubt she's a gifted singer. I guess country's just not my style....but I happen to catch 'I Need You' on the radio...and all I can say is WOW! She did a great job and now I'll try to listen with more discerning taste.

LeAnn is here to stay in the music business. Unlike all of the Britney Spears clones, LeAnn sticks with more adult material which will never grow stale. This new song, "I Need You", is wonderful. I must have played it 30 times the first day I got it. LeAnn has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. If she keeps up her reputation she could be the next Celine Dion.

I have heard many of her songs since her classic version of BLUE and also bought that cd way back. The girl is a highly gifted SINGER. This is one of her most beautifully executed vocals, right up there with her classic HOW DO I LIVE(forget that other person's version!) & BLUE. LeAnn is not to be classified as only "country" cos she excels magnificently as a POP SINGER...and on occasion rocks too. She may become the heir apparent of the LINDA RONSTADT throne in the coming years... watch out!This young lady has POP Class!I expect her to "grow" & "explore" all areas of music as an artist and she does have a very soulful voice, a magnificent instrument. She could probably sing a little R&B-Soul credibly.

This song is such an amazing song! The lyrics sends chills down your spine, and even more-LeAnn's powerful voice sings them. I'm sure another singer could have sang this song for the mini-series, but if you want real inspiration, LeAnn Rimes is the perfect singer to send a message with this song.

"I Need You" is beautiful. The lyrics are good, and LeAnn's voice is lovely. The way she hits those impossible notes, and the way she sings with such emotion. I get rather excited every time I hear it.

I haven't heard the other songs on this CD, but I'm sure they're just as good. I would recommend this CD to anyone.
