So the reason I gave this bike a 4 stars is only because the paint on one of the fenders is a bit bubbled and I am having a bit of trouble folding the bike again which I think will improve once I open and close it a few times. I'm guessing quality control isn't great with manufacturing as it's not perfect but the minor imperfections are all just asthetic. the bike itself is solid. It's comfortable and small once folded. it was SUPER easy to put together (5 minutes tops) and it was reasonably well packaged. I highly recommend this bike. I'm sure there is no other bike you will find that folds like this with 6 speeds that switch easily that is as comfortable and solid as this one. GREAT buy!

I love this bike and went to amazon to order another for my wife and it was not available. So i went to heartland america website and called and they said they have changed the part #. Also, i have seen other posts talk about the weight, i got my scale out and i am reading 34 pounds so i called the company (heartland) and they said shipping is 42 pounds not 69 pounds! The bike came well packed with bubble wrap around body parts and plastic over fenders. Dont know about instructions, never opened them up. It took me longer to unpackage the bike then to put this together. Dont hesitate to buy this bike! This is my first review on anything, ever. I normally pick things apart and am only partly satisfied. I depend alot on reviews when purchasing, and really felt like I could give this my two thumbs up!

This little red bike is everything as advertised AND MORE. It is well-made, easy to assemble, packaged to protect the contents during shipment and very light to handle-shipping weight listed by FedEx as 39.6 lbs w/ box. The tires came fully inflated-unlike other bikes I have purchased-and the gears shift smoothly even when operated by an old guy like me that hasn't riden a bike with multiple speeds in a decade or three. The brakes are easy to pull and the ride is smooth and easy even on our sun baked Arizona asphalt. Except for the fact that this bike folds in half for easy transport by car or RV, it is exactly like other 26" bikes unlike some of the other, smaller framed folding bikes on the market. One exception is the kick stand, which is mounted on the rear axle rather than under the center of the frame. There is actually a mounting bracket on the bottom of the frame where an after market kick stand can be added, but it might interfere with the folding of the bike. At any rate, the factory mounted kick stand works fine-once you get used to where it is.

I added a Wald quick disconnect front basket, front and rear running lights, a strap on bike pump, anti-theft bike alarm, twin mirrors and rear rack convertable pannier bag to round out my new purchase. Even found a matching red and silver bike helmet. ALL OF THESE ADDITIONAL ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH AMAZON-OF COURSE.

BUT THE REAL BEAUTY OF THIS PURCHASE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM THE SELLER. There was a small problem out of the box with the front rim on the new bike. It was out of round in some spots and caused the front brake pads to rub on the rim. I attempted to adjust the brake assembly-using the manufacturer's nice instruction sheet-but was unable to stop the rub.

I bought this bike used for a great price, I absolutely love this bike! It is light weight and I have a bad hip and knees and it is easy on easy off. I have rode mt. bikes which is very hard for me to get on or off. If your looking for convenience of folding this would be the bike for you. I actually would like to buy a new one and give my used one to my daughter in law, after she rode it she loved it also.

I'm a long-time commuter bicyclist who depends in part on buses that have a bicycle rack. Lately this limited resource has become increasingly unavailable due to a slight but definite up-tick in commuter bicyclists in my area (Corvallis-Albany in central Oregon). It is a very difficult thing debating with a group of bicyclists who deserves to use the bicycle rack, or just being out of luck when "first-come, first-served" is the prevailing rule. It is clear that some of us could lose our jobs if we cannot use the bus/bicycle combo. I decided that it was time to get some sort of folding bicycle so I could take it on the bus when the rack was full. For me, the problem was wheel size. I am in my mid-50s now, and the small-diameter wheels common on most foldables cause me a great deal of pain, particularly in my knees. I really needed a foldable with full size wheels. They exist, but the prices are very high for my budget ($500+), since I like to keep the bicycle price as low as possible so I can accessorize it. Also, most of these foldables have traditional power-assist motors. Even with lighter lithium-ion batteries, these bikes are VERY heavy and almost impossible for me to carry any distance.

Then I found this item on Amazon. It is a little confusing, because there is another brand "IPED" that is part of the KHS Bicycle group; all these "IPEDs" are folding bikes with the smaller diameter wheels. The "I-PED" featured here is apparently a Chinese design, imported into the USA by an outfit in Minnesota. I had it assembled and inspected by a bike shop I trust, and it appears to be a very good product for the price, in the shop owner's estimation. The seat is a bit generic, but that was easily changed for my favourite comfort saddle.
