Bad Bubbles,

I bought one of these at Walmart- it was $9, how could I resist?
What a piece of junk! Its easy to overfill, the bubbles drool over the edge and drip down the surface it sits on... and then 2 weeks later, it just decided to stop working. I would never buy one again. :-(

I own a number of bubble machines. Some plug into the wall and some use batteries. This particular one uses batteries. This is a great machine but there are several things you must know. As with all bubble machines you should not overfill the machine with bubble fluid. There is a wheel inside that rotates the loops through the bubble fluid then past the air stream. Obviously there needs to be enough fluid so the loops get dunked. A little more lets it run longer. With a little judgement, this machine can provide a lot of fun. There are parts inside that should not be coated with fluid. It is probably best of the machine is used in the presence of an older person who can help with it. It does go through batteries and if you are a serious bubble user, you might want to buy rechargeable batteries (3 C cells).

This bubble machine was a pain while it worked, it was super messy and would only work with the expensive bubble solution. It burned through batteries and solution very quickly and stopped working all together after about 10 uses... I'm now looking for another bubble machine.

My daughter received this as a gift for her 2nd birthday. We have used it so many times, and are still on the first set of batteries. We have left it outside a few times, but for the most part, we keep it indoors. I use the big bottle of bubble solution called Super Miracle Bubbles from Toys R Us to refill it for each use and we get a LOT of bubbles each time it runs. I think the key is not to overfill. The table we sit it on outside is never messy or sticky afterwards. Although, keep in mind that if you move the unit with the bubble solution, you need to keep it very level or the solution will spill out the back vents. I was actually looking this item up to purchase it as a gift my nephew. It has been a HUGE hit at our house with all the kids.

I bought this product for my son on [...] for his second birthday party in September. He has loved it! the bubbles do spill over and it is messy. It is not specific to any certain brand of bubbles. The batteries do run low fast, but he loved it. We did not maintain it after every use and it lived outside. As soon as the weather started getting hot, the batteries did rupture and ruined the mechanism...so it died. It was a good machine...I just would be curious about another brand that might make big fun bubbles.

I purchased this for my granddaughter. This was operated by adults and the 3-4 year old kids had fun playing with the bubbles for about 2-3 hours. Then it never worked again.

This battery operated bubble machine is worth the discounted price. It produces lots of bubble in small and medium sizes. Because it does not have to be plugged in we used it inside and outside. In order for it to work properly it does need to be filled with quite a lot of liquid bubbles. But with the price of a gallon of bubble liquid at $1 at the dollar store, it was not a problem. Just make certain you rinse out the reservoir when you are not going to use it for a while. That way the bubble liquid does not evaporate and make the components sticky. Luckliy for us it did not sit for too long; so I was able to get it working again.

We used this for our dog. He seemed to like it. The bubbles worked very well. It took alot of bubble liquid to get it to work though. So we feel like we ended up wasting a lot. It was hard to empty the remainng bubbles out of the machine when finished. It was worth the $[...] but that I wouldn't pay any more than that. Not worth it.
