Bought this after seeng my daughter mesmerized with it at a mall a couple years ago. Track is interchangeable & generally fun. It can be folded over small obstacles. I would have enjoyed a lot as a small boy. My two girls (2&4) enjoyed watching it last year and trying to catch the cars, but hadn't been overly-engaged in re-building tracks at the time.
A couple people noted the motors lose power over time. Ours did the same, and we were about to permanently retire the toy, but I took apart the cars (2 small phillips screws- one hidden in battery compartment to remove outside of car, and 2 more to remove motor shroud) to reveal the drive-side back wheel shaft is knurled to the edge of the shaft housing and is susceptible to picking up hairs and carpet lint, making it more resistive to turning over time. A 10 minute clean-up made shaft easy to turn & restored power to new (pull off gear-side wheel by holding wheel firmly and twisting/pulling the gear-side wheel, small needle-nose pliers or maybe a toothpick or stick-pin will ease the job). Looking forward to playing with it again now! Hope my kids do too :)

My son received this for his second birthday and I originally chalked it up as just another race track. But it is different, and my son has played with it nearly every day for the last year. The track comes in little pieces and so is extremely flexible. Easy to design in different shapes. By 2.5 he was able to put the pieces together himself. I wish they showed pictures of the cars because I don't know if they are the same ones that my son has. They are soft instead of hard and oversized for little hands. He plays with them on and off the track. For extra fun, roll some of the track into a little wheel and put the car into it like a hampster. He loves to do that!

My 4 yr old had gotten this for a birthday present. She just loves putting together all the different track layouts. It is so easy to snap all of the tracks together, and they are so flexible, that she tries to drape the tracks down the front of the couch. It comes with 2 hard SUV cars.
CONS: The only issue we had with the cars, is there are small round rubber treads that go over each of the wheels. These tend to come off, and if stretched out the cars won't really work on the tracks. When calling the company they said they will send more rubber treads out to me, so it must be an issue with these. Because they can come off pretty easy, I would watch with smaller kids around who may put these into their mouths. I wonder why they just didn't build treads onto the rotating tires. Other than the wheels, the product seems to be durable and fun for my child.
