5.0 out of 5 stars This is much more fun than it looks
My son received this for his second birthday and I originally chalked it up as just another race track. But it is different, and my son has played with it nearly every day for the last year. The track comes in little pieces and so is extremely flexible. Easy to design in different shapes. By 2.5 he was able to put the pieces together himself. I wish they showed pictures...

3.0 out of 5 stars Motor durability fix
Bought this after seeng my daughter mesmerized with it at a mall a couple years ago. Track is interchangeable & generally fun. It can be folded over small obstacles. I would have enjoyed a lot as a small boy. My two girls (2&4) enjoyed watching it last year and trying to catch the cars, but hadn't been overly-engaged in re-building tracks at the time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Motor durability fix, September 12, 2010

Bought this after seeng my daughter mesmerized with it at a mall a couple years ago. Track is interchangeable & generally fun. It can be folded over small obstacles. I would have enjoyed a lot as a small boy. My two girls (2&4) enjoyed watching it last year and trying to catch the cars, but hadn't been overly-engaged in re-building tracks at the time.

A couple people noted the motors lose power over time. Ours did the same, and we were about to permanently retire the toy, but I took apart the cars (2 small phillips screws- one hidden in battery compartment to remove outside of car, and 2 more to remove motor shroud) to reveal the drive-side back wheel shaft is knurled to the edge of the shaft housing and is susceptible to picking up hairs and carpet lint, making it more resistive to turning over time. A 10 minute clean-up made shaft easy to turn & restored power to new (pull off gear-side wheel by holding wheel firmly and twisting/pulling the gear-side wheel, small needle-nose pliers or maybe a toothpick or stick-pin will ease the job).

Looking forward to playing with it again now! Hope my kids do too :)

The track comes in little pieces and so is extremely flexible. Easy to design in different shapes. By 2.5 he was able to put the pieces together himself. I wish they showed pictures of the cars because I don't know if they are the same ones that my son has. They are soft instead of hard and oversized for little hands. He plays with them on and off the track. For extra fun, roll some of the track into a little wheel and put the car into it like a hampster. He loves to do that!

4.0 out of 5 stars great flexable tracks, easy to put together, November 17, 2008
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars

My 4 yr old had gotten this for a birthday present. She just loves putting together all the different track layouts. It is so easy to snap all of the tracks together, and they are so flexible, that she tries to drape the tracks down the front of the couch. It comes with 2 hard SUV cars.
CONS: The only issue we had with the cars, is there are small round rubber treads that go over each of the wheels. These tend to come off, and if stretched out the cars won't really work on the tracks. When calling the company they said they will send more rubber treads out to me, so it must be an issue with these. Because they can come off pretty easy, I would watch with smaller kids around who may put these into their mouths.
I wonder why they just didn't build treads onto the rotating tires.
Other than the wheels, the product seems to be durable and fun for my child.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun toy that you can also be creative with!, January 28, 2009

I bought this for my 3 yr old son because he loves his wooden train set so much but didn't have any kind of track for his cars. He has played with it almost every day for the last 2 months. He figured out very quickly how to take apart and put together the pieces of track. It is fun for me to watch his little mind at work trying to come up with different designs and ways to build the tracks over and under different objects. I agree that the toy is a lot more fun than the it looks to be in the picture. You can do so much more with it than just a boring figure 8! Ours came with the 2 SUV type vehicles. I agree with the other comments that the small rubber treads that can be removed from each tire are not the best design. However, our son loves this feature, because he takes them off and puts them back on and says he is "changing the tires". I'm sure he will eventually stretch or tear them, but we haven't had any problems so far. Our cars actually seem fairly powerful. They can drive over objects that my son places on the tracks. If they jump off the track, they just keep zooming across the room.

2.0 out of 5 stars A good concept, but flawed execution, December 29, 2009

My four year old son received this as a gift. We had fun building the track, at first. The flexible tracks are actually very clever. Unlike our Geo-tracks, you do not need dedicated curved tracks. ANY track can be straight or curved. However, once I got to the bridge, everything fell apart. Literally. The bridge is very flimsy. There is nowhere for the tracks to connect to the bridge, so the whole thing just collapses as soon as a car goes over it. Also, unlike in the box photo, the bridge is not high enough for a car to fit under it! So, the cars just knock over the bridge.

My 4yr. old grandson loves this set, unfortunately the cars don't last long before the battery cover breaks off. I have been unable to find replacement cars anywhere. We are on our second set, thought maybe the two new cars would last a little longer but one of the new cars came without a battery cover! I have had no luck getting that car replaced with the seller so now I have alot of track and one good car! But still my grandson loves it! PLEASE make the cars available separately!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun, November 24, 2010

My sons received this as a gift last Christmas, and it has provided countless hours of fun. They were 4 & 2 and had no problems snapping the track pieces together. I did have to help them assemble the bridge pieces and attach it to the road, but once it was in place, it was very durable. We have had other children play with this set also, and all of the parents inquire as to where it was purchased, because it is so popular. The motorized vehicles makes it highly desirable.

I would like to find replacement trucks though, as our have been through the ringer, and no longer work. A tip for those who find clean up of this track a hassle: disconnect the track in a few places and roll up lengthwise and store in a bin or basket --- makes setting up again much easier.

I bought this because my son was given a similar track system made by a competitor and loved it for the short time it functioned (hand-me-down gift). However, all the vehicles were broken or lost besides the one I managed to rig up for a while. I set out to find replacement cars and could not. So buying this was the next best thing.

Let me tell you...my son absolutely loves this set. In fact, he didn't stop playing with it for the entire first day he had it. It seems well-made taking the price into account. The track length is actually perfect considering I use the other one simultaneously. The cars have a lot of "get up and go", as well.

I am most impressed with the inclusion of extra parts. I'd read reviews on Amazon before purchasing this set that complained about issues with the tire treads...When I opened the box, I found several replacement treads among other extras. The track is easy for me to assemble and dis-assemble, but not for my two year old.

The set I received actually had a few additional parts to the track not shown in the picture, which adds to the fun!

I'm worried about the cars being damaged because my son is a bit rough with them and there seems to be no way to replace just the vehicles if this does happen. So that annoys me, but overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and my son didn't stop smiling...My 9-year-old god son likes it, as well!!

So the motorized cars have rubber wheels that come off AND loose tread. I am going to see if the local hobby shop might have replacement wheels. I found the replacement trucks but that is another $8 plus the wheels will just come off again. I'd love to be able to get a hold of the manufacturer but they are manufactured in China. My two year old LOVES to build with these tracks. They are flexible and he can do anything with them. Great idea just wish it was made in better quality.

Bought it for my 4 year old grandson's birthday and my daughter says he and his 2 year old brother play with it everyday. He calls it his bridge to nowhere.
