Ok, so I'm standing in Circut City, trying to find something to buy that doesn't have an idiot with a grill, or ice around his neck on the cover, and bam, there was a cd with a gas mask on the cover! Never heard of this cat until today, but bought is soley for the cover. I must say, I enjoyed this vibe. Listen to the entire cd, the musicianship is nice, great beats and solid lyrical content. Enjoy it.

Hezekiah is good producer as well as Hip Hop artist. He brings great lyrics, great production, some pretty good collabos (Freeway, Bilal). He's not shy about talking about his porn addiction which doesn't really matter to me. To top his addiction he brings great meaning in my favorite song on the album "Keep on looking up" featuring Bilal Prod. by Anthony Accurate. To top it all off the album is worth buying, so jus be a little spontaneous and try something new.

Had to get this CD after seeing him live at a MosDef concert. Homie came out with live musicians, killing it on the sax, trumpet, and some crazy looking bass producing instrument. Real hiphop lovers, please support real music!

I bought this after seeing a video of his that really impressed me. The cd did not disappoint. He's a very fluent lyricist who has a lot to say. The production is on point, too. This is a excellent rap cd. The one thing I noticed; Hezekiah's flow is a lot similar to Jay Z's. That's not a bad thing. He doesn't sound like Jay or talk about the same stuff as Jay. But, the flow is very similar. If you don't have a problem with that you will love the cd. Hezekiah is one of the more dope mc's you may not have heard. I can see where some people might say he's spittin' Jay's style. But, I'm feelin' this just the same. Go ahead & cop this one. It's all good!

Hezekiah: I Predict a Riot. Sound familiar? Well, let me clear two things up: no, it's not the gospel singer; and no, it's not a reference to the Kaiser Chiefs song. Who we have HERE is a rapper/producer from the newly revamped Rawkus Records roster. And his album ain't bad. It's hard to pick a favorite song out of the bunch, but I think I'll have to go with the two-in-a-row of "Single Now" and "Let's Get Involved". There are other notables as well, like "Moments in Sunshine" and the Freeway-assisted "That Filling" (feeling); and "Gotta Love It" made me say just that. Even the interludes on here are interesting. The only real issue here is, well, even though Hezekiah is also a producer, this isn't really a producer-driven CD. If you look at Timbaland or Hi-Tek, for example, they produce all the songs on their albums and rap only minimally while OTHER people handle the mic. In Hezekiah's case, this appears to be more of a "standard" album; to that end, one could say that there are too many guest stars on here. Oh, well; I guess that issue is debatable. If "Wild & Wreckless" and "Bombs Over Here" weren't included, I wouldn't miss them. But everything else makes I Predict a Riot a great example of Rawkus' glory days being far from over. Cop it.
