5.0 out of 5 stars A Heart Warming Story for Both Young and Old, September 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
The first time I read this book it made me cry! My daughter absolutely loves the story and the beautiful pictures. Although the age range for the book is older, my daughter was enjoying it at 19 months. The notion of a mother always searching for her missing child ensures a child that they are never, ever forgotten. What a wonderful, simple book. Buy it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Godsend!, September 6, 2000
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
Myr son was 3 1/2 when he was kidnapped by his biological mother and taken to a foreign country. It took 9 weeks and much red tape to get him back. I wanted him to always know that I never gave up hope of his returning to me. What a perfect story to find. We have a dog who resembles the one in the book. James always says "that's you Mommy and Molly and there I am." It has been 3 years since his return and we still read that story at least once a week. Our adoption is final but this story is a reminder to him that I would never give up hope on him!

5.0 out of 5 stars A touching story, perfect for loved ones who live far away, April 18, 2000
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
Beautiful little book. Each verse is just so sweet. I gave this book to my (adult) best friend when she moved 2500 miles away, and she cried when she read it. It's a great way to confirm your love for your child, but the message is ageless- give it to anyone whom you love. Nice, rich pictures, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book for anyone, December 5, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
I first read this book to a little girl, but when I read it again to myself the true meaning of it engrained itself into my mind. It is a heart warming story of a mother who promises never to abandon her child and her promise to do all in her power to find him if he is ever lost. The verse is simple and the paintings are lovely, perfect for a child. But the idea behind it is for anyone, I have a copy of it on my bookcase and also gave a copy to my fiance. It is the most perfect expression of true love that I have ever seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a really sweet book--and a good discussion topic too, September 5, 2002
By
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
We just bought this book for our 3.5 year old daughter. It's got nice illustrations (though heartbreakingly, the first one shows a waterline shot of the Twin Towers) and simple, sweet text. My daughter enjoyed it right from the start, and was a good tool for us to discuss several things: 1) What to do when you are lost, 2) How to find help, and 3) the all-important reassurance that Mommy and Daddy will never leave you and will always look for you if we get separated.

5.0 out of 5 stars How sweet and comforting!, August 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
The pictures are beautiful and the words are comforting. I can barely get through this one without crying...especially the ending. It's such a "safe" story and I think it's very touching. I highly recommend this book for all parents. What a way to show our children how special they are...which of us wouldn't go to any extreme to get back to our child if ever away?

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Simple and Moving, August 5, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
I bought this book right after my son was born and started reading it to him when he was only about a year old. Even then he loved the pictures, especially the little dog. The message is simple and the illustrations are great. My son is now almost 4 and still loves this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A treasure not reserved for parents and children..., April 17, 2006
By
Lastbeautflgirl (Charleston, WV USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
I purchased this book for my little sister in 1998. I wrote an inscription in the front promising her that, no matter where she goes, I promise I'll find her. I'd since forgotten about the book until my sister passed away a few weeks ago and her teacher told me that she had just read the book to her the day before, including my note to her. I now have the book in my possession and it will forever be special to me knowing that, although I'd since moved out and didn't go home to visit nearly enough, she was still reminded in my absence how much I loved her.

For me, the most touching stanza of the book is:
And if I had no other way,
I'd walk or crawl or run,
I'd search to the very ends of the earth,
For you my precious one.

This is a great gift for anyone with whom you'll always share a special bond.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Nice Book, October 9, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: I Promise I'll Find You (Paperback)
I really liked the fiction book I Promise I'll Find You. It had beautiful pictures, and on each page there's a little doggy and a kid for you to find in the picture. It's a very touching and comforting book. I hope to see more books like it in the future.
