Innovative and brilliant author,

"I see what you mean" and Steve's more recent program and series "Info Active" should be an essential acquisitions for teachers of our young children. He is able to take complex ideas of visual literacy and oral communication through factual texts and present them simply for the teacher to integrate them into key learning areas. Brilliant in all regards, but it needs a good look at, particularily the teacher backup. Unfortunately teachers haven't always got the time.

Well organized, clear and informative,

This easy to use book illustates different strategies to organize information in visual formats (diagrams, flow charts, graphs, maps, timelines, tables, etc). Various examples cover a variety of subjects and grade levels. Effective tools for teachers and parents looking to make learning more interesting and fun. (I plan to use these strategies in a summer project to keep up my son's academic skills instead of boring worksheets.) Good for kids who are visual learners.
