There are 4 parts to this game. First is called Match Attack. In this game there are different shapes scrolling down the left side of the screen, and the player has to send the matching pieces over. Second and most challenging is called Grid Grab - in this game the player is presented with a pattern at the top of the screen. There is a grid of shapes below and the player has to select the match out of the grid horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.Riddle Round Up presents a poem that lists a bunch of different items and the player must pick all the them out of a big pile - think scavenger hunt. This game requires the riddle to be read so the child would require an adult for this one. This is fairly entertaining. Lastly there is Hoop Drop - in this game there are sets of items in hoops moving across the screen and the player sorts new items into them. This is more interesting than it sounds because the sets aren't always the same type - for instance 3 sets might be birds, action figures, and red things. Also the hoops are moving by fairly fast and the item must be manipulated up, down, left, and right to get into the hoop. This seems to be the most fun. This is definitely a game for the very beginning gamer (I estimate ages 3 to 5) and could probably be said to be partly educational as there is a lot of pattern matching and sorting. I almost hate to say this because there are so few Gameboy games for young chidren, but I don't think this game will have a whole lot of replay value. It is the only thing I've found for edu-fun on the go - maybe good for a several hours of fun on a car trip.

As a gaming parent with a 6 and 10 year old this is a great game to have. the games are straight forward and easy to understand and look just like the pictures in the books! I would love to have all the I spy books in a game form like this. Much easier to use for traveling and two or more can play by passing it around!

This game is great no matter how old or young you may be! This is the first game that my 4 year old didn't become disgusted with in mere seconds - although he did need help reading the riddles in the Riddle Round-up. I even became addicted myself with the Match Attack. My 6 year old enjoys the game as well - we ran down his battery playing it the very first day!
My only complaint is that the "target" needs to be slightly more sensitive when doing the Riddle Round-up - especially when hunting for tiny items.
