A Nostalgic Slice Of The TV Past,

The CD contains 4 episodes (in color) of the TV series, and they seem fairly well representative of the series as a whole. They can be thoroughly enjoyed if you disengage year 2005 expectations of acting and writing, and put the episodes in perspective of being created 40 years ago (40!!). It's nice to see the old actors and actresses you grew up with, although the often stilted writing and acting, and the rampant chauvinism seems glaring in this day and age. Still, the interplay between Culp & Cosby is enjoyable, and the opening sequence and music are still neat and vibrant. Try at least one such DVD if you are a true afficianado of classic TV.
