This review is from: I Survived Rumbuli (Hardcover)
I am an American of Latvian descent. My grandparents were Lutheran refugees from Latvia and survived the war. Their lives were hard, but were a piece of cake compared to how Freida suffered. She had so many doors slammed in her face when all she wanted to do was live, something most of us take for granted.

This review is from: I Survived Rumbuli (Paperback)
This book tells the story of Frida, one of only two women to survive the massacre of over 30,000 Jews in the Rumbuli Forest. She was determined to live so that she could tell the story to others and the victims would not be forgotten. As with any book about the Holocaust, a few parts were difficult to read, but it was definitely worth it.
