Davis seems to be under the impression to incongruous mash-ups pass for humor and writing, filling his paragraphs with vaguely linked characters juxtaposed with obviously ridiculous attributes. Sometimes - but not often enough - amusing, the whole book feels like a second-rate Mark Leyner rough draft.
