These guys are ... pretty cool. Yeah, they may have broke up, but there legacy still lives on in these little 1s and 0s on these plastic discs. So get these little 1s and 0s and put them in your green army backpack -- or better yet your cd player. Just watch out for the Mummy Cops.

I think the guitarist's new band is Missile Command. I only saw them once. They were pretty cool, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the better skaish punk bands, August 18, 2007

Heh, no reviews for five years, eh? Well, no matter -- they recently played a reunion concert at Emo's, and from all accounts kicked butt. A great album, with lots of humor and just general fun. Sad that we don't see this kind of quality any more.

I've listened to this band for years, and I never get tired of them. I have recently just seen a show of theirs. They got back together, and they're better than ever. Every song is great, it's happy, upbeat, and you can dance to it (or skank if you prefer). Either way, if you can get a hold of this CD, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Austin, TX 90s Punk Band!, July 18, 2000

These guys rule! If you lived in Austin in the 1990's then you know it too! This is Gals Panic's only published album, and every song rocks. Personal favorites: Sega Face, and both Carpenters' covers. Even though they're gone, they've really just begun. Heh! Heh! Heh!

5.0 out of 5 stars GALS PANIC ROCKS!!, August 16, 2005

If you were misfortunate enough to miss seeing this band live you must check out their CD. These guys are one of the most creative ska bands I've ever seen. This was fortunately a time before ska went mainstream. I'm a person who is very selective of ska bands that I like, because I like mainly hardcore punk rock, and this is one band not to be missed. That short dude really has some catchy tunes and they put on one hell of a show. I was fortunate enough to live in Corpus Christi TX which is about 3 hours south of Austin and they frequently played shows down here. If the rumor is true that they have reunited, go check em' out, I know that I will...and even if they have or haven't We Need Helicopters is a must get. I promise, you'll have no regrets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, mang!!, October 19, 2003
This review is from: I Think We Need Helicopters (Audio CD)
This album, although every friend of mine hates it, hates it, I just love it!! They says it's weird and sounds like it was recorded in a living room. So what?? This is darn near the best thing I own, hands down. I discovered Gals Panic on Skarmageddon, Vol I and the standout was the title song, Gals panic. Before I got the lyrics I thought the lyrics were "He never seems to get a break so it's though that thee are gay" when it's "Lance fever cools and taps his feet, Jerm Pollet he goes to meet, he never seems to get a break so it's off to the Arcade..." Tag!! Tag you're it!! If you can get this rare treasure, please play it until your brain hurts. Your life is not complete until you own this.
