This lamp is fantastic! I LOVE it! It has several gradients of light options and is plenty bright for any task in the dark. It's well made and very adjustable. I'm currently using it next to my grand piano, to read music. I can't say enough good things about it. It's easy to assemble. It doesn't get warm, of course. Buy it!

i like this lamp. it won't light up a room, but it'll for sure give you focused light, that's easy on the eyes. and the light is concentrated enough to allow a tired spouse a chance to get to sleep.

i'm very careful about what i spend my money on, and after seeing it in action, i have no problem with paying the $200+ for this. it's a quality item.

3/13/11 - just got another one for other side of bed. the amount of use totally justifies the cost.

I'm very pleased we bought this lamp, even though it was pretty expensive.

The four small lights put out a great deal of light for their size, and I find the "color" of the light very restful: it's not harsh or glaring. A toggle on the stem of the lamp lets you adjust the light level, but we usually have it on the highest level because we have it in a large room. One of the best things about it is that it uses a fraction of the electricity of a more typical lamp while putting out a substantial fraction of the light.

I find the swiveling arms very useful. When reading, we swivel the "wand" containing the LED bulbs over the chair or sofa so that the light projects onto the pages of the book. When entertaining, we set the lamp up so the light projects onto a nearby wall: because there are four bulbs, it creates some very cool shadows.

The lamp seems very stable: my two dogs have knocked into it while playing, and it has not toppled over.

I am considering buying another.

I love my new lamp. It is very versatile, I can put it in almost any imaginable configuration. It uses very little electricity and is great for illuminating small objects.

This is a very early review - like the look of the lamp but arrived NOT WORKING.
HINT: Call the number in California (?) for the sender. No problem - will send one right out with pre-paid postage for the broken one.
Gave it a 3 star (primarily since it arrived broken)

Final Review:
Best light ever. If it wasn't so much money, I would buy one for every room in the house.
Love it, Love it, Love it. I have used it every day for various activities: reading, playing games, lightening the buffet table, etc.
Hubby loves light (he doesn't use it). Daughter wants one, too.
Very light (weight) and can fit into "tiny spaces". Light can be directed to where you want the light to go.
Light is bright - such that only need to have it on the first or second setting for close up work.
Acutal light is rotatable and arm can swing up/down and in/out.

Some reviews had issues with the location of cord - I didn't and love it that the cord can come off for more portable ease.
Only worry is the cost for light replacement.

What a great product! It is almost weightless, very futuristic looking, and provides excellent light without any glare. The "cool" LED version is surprisingly warm and quite pleasing. The styling and concept are lots of fun. Compared to conventional clunky, heavy lighting with hot light bulbs, this product excels in every way.

I have gotten other LED floor lamps that were not even as bright as an LED desk lamp that I have. This one is really bright (though not equivalent to the Halogen torchiere that it's replacing). It's also a really awesome design, that looks great as well as being functional (you can easily get the light pointed wherever you want).

I wanted this lamp for my family room. I wanted to have an unobtrusive light source where I could read, knit or multitask while watching TV with my husband. Since the light is focused on me it does not emit a light source where it would interfere with my husband's viewing of the TV. It does not create heat so I can comfortably have it on me without becoming hot. I like the slim modern look. I do wish there was a different mechanism to get it to the strongest light setting. There are two buttons halfway down the stand. You press the top button in succession 4 times to get it to the brightest setting. You then press the bottom button 4 times to turn it off. (or however number of times you previously pressed to get a setting). You can never leave it at a preferred setting and simply turn it off and on. Minor flaw as the lamp meets my criteria for buying it in the first place.

This item works exactly as described. I agree with previous reviewers about its great performance. I wish it were less expensive, but it's worth the price. I use it with a Kindle DX for reading inside the house. Works great and can be positioned to eliminate glare. Highly recommended.

I run a handmade jewelry business out of my home. I was looking for a compact light sorce that was vercetile enough to add light to my work bench when I need to make jewelry at night time, add light to my show tables at home jewelry shows without being bulky and noticable, easy to transport without taking up a lot of space in my vehicle. I have found this lamp to be VERY useful in my profession, as a work lamp, show table lighting, and also night time photography lighting! I was nervous about the price, but it is well worth the price for all of the use I have gotten from this lamp!
