A Kid's Review
This review is from: I Turn To You [US CD] (Audio CD)
Sure, Melanie C is a part-time Spice Girl, but that has no effect on this single or her variety music!Track listings (All tracks begin with 'I Turn to You'). 1) ...(Hex Hector Radio Mix), 4:13, 5/5: This the version for the music video and on the radio. This piece of club pop is as good as it gets, although "Around the World" (ATC) may make me change my mind... 2) ...(Stonebridge Club Mix), 8:31, 4/5: This one has a genuine club beat. However, it gets repetitive for the first 2 minutes, so a 5/5 is just out of reach. 3) ...(Hex Hector Club Mix), 10:27, 4/5: The famous Hex Hector is at it again. It starts out with great effects, but is also repetitive for the first 3 minutes. For more Hex Hector, there is the single for "So in Love with Two" (Mikaila). 4) ...(Tilt's Maverick Remix), 10:10, 3/5: The beat is good, but it is very repetitive (the first 4 minutes!) and doesn't feature the verses themselves. Entire CD --- 33:21, 16/20: This CD goes big on club pop. While that's its strength, its weakness is is the repetition, but if you don't care and just want to dance, then this gets a 100% rating. PS: The true version of "I Turn to You" is on the CD "Northern Star" (Also by Melanie C). No wonder they cald the first track on this the radio mix!

You Can't Go Wrong With Hex Hector's Remix!,
This review is from: I Turn To You [US CD] (Audio CD)
This is the song to have. Rarely does a song elicit such emotion in the listener. It is so powerful. What this song does to me I can barely describe. It touches me on such a deep level but still keeps the energy flowing. Get it ASAP!

When Melanie C released her solo album I was a bit apprehensive of buying it because of the whole "Spice Girl" thing. I am glad I put the "Spice Girl" thing behind because I would be missing out on Melanie C's hot tracks, especially this one, "I turn To You" is by far my favorite song that Melanie C sings. Melanie C's "I Turn To You" in nothing like that of Christina Aguilera and it's not a ballad. Hex Hector did wonders for this song because not many people were feelin' the orignal. This song has so many emotions, I can feel a sadness but yet a great dance vibe from this song, no other than the word beautiful can describe this song.Track Listing: 1.) I Turn To You (Hex Hector Radio Mix) = This is the hot remix that was videod. This is the hottest single I have heard in a long time and the remix is 100 times hotter than the original. 2.) I Turn To You (Stonebridge Club Mix) = This is a great remix and has a darker bear however, as of yet there are no other remixes that are hotter than the Hex Hector one. 3.) I Turn To You (Hex Hector Radio Mix) = This is an extended version of the remix they used for the video. This one is around 10 minutes long. 4.) I Turn To You (Tilt's Maverick Remix) = This remix has a dark feel and scarey like vocals at the begining. Once again this remix is really good, however it is not nearly as good as the Hex Hector remix. All the remixes on this single are hot but if you don't like them, the single is still worth it for just the Hex Hector Version. The Hex Hector version is the one they made a video for so I guess that one is considered the original now. This single keeps getting hotter and hotter so you better get it before its hotter than you can handle.

Who would have ever thought that one of the Spice Girls could ever have a song like this?! This is a smokin' dance track! It has it all; Great lyrics, a high-energy beat, and smooth breakdowns/buildups. What more could you want? The remixes are all first-rate. Slap this on or in your deck and get ready to throw down! This should be a club classic. Everyone, who doesn't already know, will Turn To You and ask what this song is. So just check this track out and be ready to get your SWERVE on!

When I heard this song for the first time and found out it was one of the Spice Girls, I couldn't believe it! It's upbeat, and memorable tune make it one of the better dance tracks to be released presently. For me, if I can remember the tune long after I have heard it, that means it's a good song to me. For those who like "house music" or "Euro-HiNRG", this song will not let you down.

Best Melanie C. Song,

This is the best Melanie C. song there is, even though it's not on the album because it's a remix.... It's truly a wicked dance mix, and it's one of the best dance songs in my opinion (didn't hurt Hex Hector's chances of getting remixer of the year). However, for this price, I would rather just spring for the Australian import which has the video and a few extra remixes. It's worth the extra 3 dollars. :- ) The only reason I give it four stars is that the other remixes aren't too great and you get sick of the song after a while.... In addition, the timing of this single is REALLY bad, as it has received very little airplay in the States. But listen to it. It's good. Good times. Exciting

Melanie C Scores BIG,
By
This review is from: I Turn To You [US CD] (Audio CD)
Melanie C's first solo single in the US, "I Turn To You", has been a New York radio hit and a #1 Dance Hit on the Billboard Charts. Her new single, though released months after the song began getting radio play in August of 2000, is sure to generate a new legion of Melanie C fans. The single features the Hex Hector Radio Remix (the over four-minutes remix heard on radio), the Stonebridge Club Mix (a great R'n'B mix of the song), Hex Hector Club Mix (though it says Radio Remix on the back of the CD, it is actually the over 10 minute Club Mix, similar to the Radio Remix), and Tilt's Maverick Club Mix (another creative re-working of the song). Not only is the song a #1 Dance Hit, but it also helped score Hex Hector a Grammy this year. He was nominated for his remixing abilitys for this track and he won. Now that's real Girl Power! Don't dissapoint yourself. Get this CD now. You know you want it!

Melanie C, AKA Sporty Spice, has outdone herself, really! I Turn To You is a worldwide club smash, including the U.S! It reached NUMBER 1 the Billboard Club/Dance Charts a while back. This is Melanie C's official 4th single off her multiplatinum album Northern Star. I Turn To you is very clubby, but at some points it's a bit too slow to where dancing isn't possible. However, it's still great. The other singles include Goin' Down (a rock song, about hating someone), Northern Star (pop ballad, about the pressures of being a celebrity), Never Be The Same Again feat. Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes (R&B ballad, about the friends and turning into a bit more), I Turn To You (club song, about looking up to someone when you get down), and finally, If That Were Me (a emotional, heartfelt pop ballad that's about homelessness).
