5.0 out of 5 stars Poetic Justice, January 19, 2002
This review is from: I.O.U. Street (Audio CD)
Indie hip-hop comes in many different flavors. People who think that it all falls under the monochromatic Jurassic 5 umbrella should do themselves a favor and check out this quirky debut from a talented DC group. The beats are fierce, running the gamut from old-school beat-boxing to drum-n-bass, with a little bit of everything in between. The emcees, Natural Law and Black Picasso, show off their chops handily, whether it's with the rapid-fire exchanges in "Test", the tongue-twisting flow of "Sha Sha", or the quirky humor of "Good Morning". It's criminal that these guys aren't getting more national exposure.
