5.0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough of I''s, October 27, 2008
This review is from: I"s, Vol. 15 (Paperback)
A few months ago, I was browsing the manga at a used bookstore when I came across nearly the complete set of I''s tucked away on the shelf. I picked it up, was entranced by the excellent artwork on the cover and purchased them all.

I'm not nearly one for fan-service in manga so I have to say that I wasn't particularly drawn in after reading through Vol 1, but I continued anyway and I am so terribly glad that I did.

You will absolutely adore the main characters throughout the series. Itchitaka Seto appears to be so romantically hopeless and is constantly making the wrong moves at the wrong times due to his wild imagination and fantasies.

I experienced so much emotion while reading through this which I have honestly never had with a series before. Incredibly gorgeous artwork, lush environments and the characters will draw you in so much that you will be turning pages all night.

I''s deserves so much more credit than the typical "romantic comedy" title it receives. Sure there are tons of hilarious moments but there are also times when you will feel so helpless and sad for the situations that Itchitaka Seto puts himself in; despite trying so hard to win the love he so desperately craves, he nearly destroys every thing he touches every single time.
The few final volumes are incredibly powerful, gut-wrenching and poignant. You will literally cry for Itchitaka...I know I did.

Bravo Masakazu Katsura! I was so sad to see this come to an end but at the same time I am incredibly happy to have experienced it.

I''s will leave you wanting more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Could have a had a better ending..., April 19, 2011

This review is from: I"s, Vol. 15 (Paperback)
I own all 15 volumes of these series and loved it. Some of the time I would hate the decisions Ichitaka would make but I still stuck with the series and I'm glad I did.
However, in this final volume it didn't quite end as well as I anticipated, and it all ended rather abruptly and sudden. I think Masakazu Katsura should make a short sequel to this. Like and "after story."
For fan who haven't finished it, I suggest buying the final volume, you may be a little disappointed or you may be satisfied, it all depends on the individual. Either way I enjoyed this series, and anyone who is a fan of high school romances with great artwork will enjoy this, as well.
