If you're of a certain age, you'll be taken back to a summer of neon-colored clothes and a simpler world, free of constant connectivity, when the story of Whitney's music was one of promise and lightness, not the story of the struggles that would follow.

Whitney Houston's "I wanna dance with somebody" was one of her early hits, highlighting her joy and her powerful voice. Houston was blessed with a heavenly voice;Aretha Franklin was her godmother and Dionne Warwick was her cousin. "I wanna dance with somebody" is one of those true 80s hits.Tragically, Whitney Houston's voice has been silenced, she had been planning a comeback... and she was approached to be a judge for the X Factor. This song shows how amazing she truly was as a singer. One of the truly great. May she rest in peace (1963-2012)
