5.0 out of 5 stars excellent cd
Tyrese has put out an excellent cd just in time for Christmas. I enjoy this cd because of it's slow groove's. Tyrese has grown vocally as well. I like all the songs. I love the entire cd, however a few stand outs are HOW YOU GONNA ACT LIKE THAT, SHE LETS ME BE A MAN, SIGN OF LOVE MAKING AND GHETTO GIRL. This is a must have for all music lovers! GOOD JOB TYRESE!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great fresh R&B!
Tyrese has really made a big impact on me lately, he's great soulish voice is defenitely suited for ballads, and "How you gonna act like that" is arguably one of the best slow jams out there right now. With his last album he proved that he was able to make some good uptempo songs like "I like them gitlz" too however on this album Most of his songs are...

4.0 out of 5 stars More than the coca cola boy on the back of the bus, April 25, 2003

Tyrese has a voice that melts your soul and makes a girl think about what she has vs. what she had! On this album he shows that he can take you from the club to a more intimate place.
He has matured since the first two albums & he's proven that he's not just the Coca-Cola boy on the back of the bus anymore.
The next album should put him over the top!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great fresh R&B!, March 4, 2003
This review is from: I Wanna Go There (Audio CD)
Tyrese has really made a big impact on me lately, he's great soulish voice is defenitely suited for ballads, and "How you gonna act like that" is arguably one of the best slow jams out there right now. With his last album he proved that he was able to make some good uptempo songs like "I like them gitlz" too however on this album Most of his songs are ballads though and it the end we get the message and it get's a little dull. His collaboration with singer/producer Jermaine Dupri in "Girl i can't help it" is a little faster (a uptempo song with cool beats), so is "U Don't Give A Damn About Me" and "Taking forever" but the latter two are simply not that good. The slowjams however is the reason why most people would buy this, and he makes them good, so defenitely a decent album, In the future i expect some more of him though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tyrese Delivers an Awesome R&B Album, December 23, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: I Wanna Go There (Audio CD)
He has come a long way from doing Coke commercials and he has really grown up and it shows on his new album "I wanna go there". He's not only Hot and has muscles he has alot of talent and a strong voice. Alot of people kind of write him off because of how he looks but you shouldnt judge a book by its cover because you could be missing alot. Its what R&B is all about, he's got the sexy ballad's and some Club songz too. To cut things short This album album is great i like mostly every song, and i highly reccommend it to anybody who likes to listen to R&B & Hip hop music. Get it and don't hesitate, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

4.0 out of 5 stars Some Bangin Slow Jams, December 29, 2006
This review is from: I Wanna Go There (Audio CD)
Tyrese's thrid CD I Wanna Go There featured some of the best slow jams released in 2002. The two slow jams singles released from were How You Gonna Act Like That & the sure fire baby maker Signs Of Love Making were both hot. My favorite slow jam on the album was Kinna Right because it's staright down to the point and features the production of the always good Underdogs. This CD featured Tyrese's attempt at rapping which is his cover of How Do You Wanna It which is abysmall.

5.0 out of 5 stars ahhhhhh:), March 7, 2004
This review is from: I Wanna Go There (Audio CD)
i have loved tyrese since i first saw the sweet lady video. that was it for me. i really didnt care much for his first cd only 2 songs i really liked, but I still followed his career because there was just something about him i was drawn to. he did not let me down becasue 2000 watts was just what i was waiting for and this cd is also great. he has grown so much as an artist and he is definately the sexiest man in r&b. from his first cd to this latest one, he has just continued to grow and get better and i cant wait to see where he goes from here. if he keeps up in this same direction im sure he will be around for a long time. i think tyrese is just wonderful:) and i recommend him to everyone. his voice is just so sexy i could listen to him all day!

2.0 out of 5 stars 2-1/2 stars -- Tyrese finally has a hit! But..., March 22, 2003
This review is from: I Wanna Go There (Audio CD)
Ever since Tyrese first appeared on the scene, he seems to have been plagued with a very big problem. That is, he is one heck of a singer, but as far as lyrics go, they leave a lot to be desired.

The first song on the album is "How You Gonna Act Like That". Although some of the lyrics are still a little corny ("You know we be tearin' it up/Breakin' stuff/That ghetto love"), the way he says it is so good that you don't even care. But unfortunately, the album goes downhill from there. It's one thing to be a little corny in one song, but a whole album full of corny lyrics is too much to stomach. This is especially true in songs like "On Top Of Me" and the extremely cheesy "Signs Of Love Makin'". Jermaine Dupri's "Girl I Can't Help It" is strictly filler, and "How Do You Want It" (an interpolation of 2Pac's famous song) could have been left behind.

Tyrese still has a great singing voice, but if he wants to deliver a perfect album, he really needs to think about enlisting some better writers.
