Excellent, focused, age appropriate video. Takes child through 5 ballet steps, practice, auditions for show, rehearsals, dress rehearsal and final show. Also shows what happens backstage. My 3 year old can't get enough of it!

My 2 year old will watch this video over and over again. It begins with little children in ballet class and works its way up to the older girls. It features the San Jose Youth Ballet preparing for the Nutcracker Ballet from auditions to performance. It is nice because it is 28 minutes long. The usual Nutcracker performances are too long to keep my daughter's attention. She loves all of the girls and knows them by name. I haven't even gotten tired of seeing it and that says something!

Our 4 yr. girl who is taking ballet lessons loves this movie. Even our 5 yr. son has taken an interest in dance and appreciates the practice and dedication required to excel.

Our 18 month old girl watches intently too.

This is fine production that our whole family watches repeatedly without tiring of it.

My 5 year old is taking beginning ballet and has been more enthusiastic about her classes since buying this video. She watches it all the time and her 19 month old sister loves it too! She is a ballerina in the making and walks around the house saying "nina, nina" when whe wants to watch the video!

My daughter begins ballet classes this month and seems to be pretty excited about it. I bought a ballet book and three ballet dvds for Christmas. I could have saved my money by only buying this one. She is FASCINATED by this tape. The actual Nutcracker is too long for her to sit and watch (she just turned three) but this tape provides clips from classes, the Nutcracker auditions, and the Nutcracker itself. It is short and exciting enough to keep her attention (the instructional dvds bored her), and she runs around the house dancing and calling herself Clara.
