I listened to a ton of different artists who sang this song (cover) and none of them came close to the original.

When it came down to Foreigner in the 70's and 80's, they definitely some of the most driven and shining songs of the eras. But when it also came down to Lou Gramm, Mick Jones and company, they had a strong and solid connection of knowing great songs for all audiences. That is proven well with their classic 1984 opus, I Want To Know What Love Is. The classic song still brings out the best in power ballads from that era, and still feels just as fresh and invigorant today as it did back then. It definitely will always stand out, and doesn't feel like it is wimpy like the cover of the classic that Mariah Carey made as a trainwreck in 2009. All in all, if you're absolutely new to Foreigner or a hard core fan of the AOR music of the 80's, than this a kepper for your MP3 library.
