To me, this is one of our hero's very best albums. 'True Love At Last' should be a wedding staple. I absolutely love 'It's All In the Game'. 'Blame It On The Night' is a great song. 'How Slow We Go' is a super original written by Engelbert's daughter Louise. You'll love it too!

Wonderful CD. The Man, the Music, the Voice - absolutely wonderful. Only disappointment was the packaging. The CD came with an insert containing pictures. I was sad to find all the pages stuck together at the bottom so I couldn't open them without destroying the pamphlet

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the Lesser Known Works, July 21, 2005
This review is from: I Want to Wake Up With You (Audio CD)
I am a fan. I have most of his albums. I love each and every one. Still, most seem to have variations on the same assortment of songs most associated with Engelbert Humperdinck. This one is a pleasant change because most of these selections are seldom found on his other albums. I will be the first to admit that this is because these selections are "not as great" as his signature pieces but they are still good works and worthy of a hearing.

The tone of the selections, as with virtually all of his works, is that of love songs. For those infected with this tortuous illness, that is enough to generate and interest. Those not tortured by love can also enjoy his incredible tonal range, his voice and his skills.

This is another keeper.
