Real music- not the typical bilge we call music today! Inspirational and moving - a return to earlier and more pleasant days!

Thanks Dolly and Vince Gill

After the tremendous success of Whitney Houston's version of Dolly's "I Will Always Love You" in 1992-1993 Dolly decided to rerecord the song one more time herself, this time as a duet with country music star Vince Gill. It would go on to become a beautiful duet with Dolly and Vince's voices blending perfectly.

Unfortunately, the song only went to #15 on the Country Music Charts, somewhat of a letdown given Dolly's own personal success with it, but "I Will Always Love You" did garner Dolly and Vince the Country Music Association's "Vocal Event of the Year" in 1996.

This version first appeared on Dolly's 1995 Columbia album "Something Special".

I love Dolly Parton's rendition of this song. We used it as part of the music on a presentation at my husband's funeral. It brought tears to our audiences eyes.
