Randy has interpreted well known standards with a sense of soulful passion and exquisite phrasing that brings 2 guitar greats to mind--Joe Pass and Antonio Carlos Jobeim. To me, Randy's consistently tasty guitar work not only expertly captures and honors the timelessness of the classics he interprets, but simultaneously offers the listener a uniquely fresh experience. Somehow Randy's sense of melody enhances these old favorites in such a way they fool me--these old songs sound new. In terms of jazz musicians, Randy Dorman's the real deal.

I've been a fan of Randy's for years. This is a tastefully done album, in keeping with the others I've heard. The music is sensitive, thoughtful, relaxing, and is performed flawlessly!
