Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

This beautiful book is the presentation/gift edition of last year’s Paraclete bestseller, Will I See My Dog in Heaven? (4 printings). Now, the question mark is removed! The answer is Yes!

Complete with space for presenting the book to a friend who has just lost, or is soon to lose, a beloved pet; prayers and blessings for all animal companions; and plenty of hope and inspiration, Friar Jack says unequivocally:

All creatures form one family of creation. And the more we see the implications of our belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and accept the biblical vision of God’s inclusive love, the clearer we are able to say of our beloved animal companions who have died: We will see you again in heaven!

My little dog, Coale, died almost a year and a half ago and I still miss her like it was yesterday. This book was exactly what I needed. It truly did give me a little peace. The book shipped fast and was well packaged. Thank you so much.

This was a very sweet, very comforting little book for anyone who has lost a beloved pet. The book is short, can be read in about an hour, but it's worth the read.

Pet loss is one of the most emotionally draining experiences that a person can endure, partly because you feel like perhaps others think you should just get over it. It's just a dog (cat, bird, etc.), right? After awhile, when the grief fails to completely subside, you may even start to feel like there's something wrong with you. This book, though sad to read, connects you to the emotions of other people who have dealt with pet loss. It's comforting to think that, in some ways, your beloved pet isn't really gone.

I bought this book for myself after we lost two dogs in two years to old age. For 10 years I attended a church (and actually worked there for three years) where the pastor was not an animal person at all and he lost no opportunity to torture me with comments like "Nice dog picture. You know when he dies he's just going to go "poof" and you'll never see him again." Even though I knew better and knew he was wrong it was really wearing me down. I have since left the church because of other things this pastor did. This book comforted me greatly so I give it to everyone from family, friends and acquaintances to people I barely know. They all love it. My sister's 10 year old Weimaraner was just diagnosed with spleen cancer and given 24 hours to 2 months to live. She has no children and this will be a devastating loss so I sent her a copy of the book; I know it will help her. God bless Friar Wentz for writing this beautiful book!

It's been five weeks since my baby died. For twelve years he loved me. He was loyal and he would always follow me from room to room. Of all God's creatures, I love dogs. This book helps to heal the pain when losing a beloved dog.

God would certainly have a special place for a creature He created. This book gives hope and answers questions one may have about their pets they loved so much.

After searching the Bible myself, talking with my pastor, I never got a definative answer like this book gives. Based in Scripture from Genesis to Revelations, Friar Wintz teases out God's message to us about His wee beasties! What a joy!
I have purchased a bunch to send to friends when their beloved pet dies.

I liked this cd so much when I lost my beloved dog, REN 6 months ago and Bear dog 2 months ago (both age 17) that I bought it as a gift for a friend of mine when she lost her dog about a month ago.
