5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, November 3, 1999
This review is from: I Won't Forget You (Audio CD)
Princessa's work is quite simply breath taking. Produced by the earths greatest (shared maybe with Michael Cretu) producer, Frank Peterson, this CD includes the classic 'Once in a Lifetime', as well as Brian Kennedy's 'A Better Man' and Saint Etiennes 'He's on the Phone'. Also lots of original great material.

4.0 out of 5 stars I RATE IT 4 STARS. BECAUSE HER LAST ALBUM IS DIVINE., October 14, 1999

I love all the " Sandra Family Productions ". I mean all the musicians who related with her and came from the same source. If they can be found in Taiwan. Unfortunately they're pretty rare. So I support Frank Peterson even though he has no longer cooperate with Michael Cretu since 92. And because most of the Taiwanese speak and listen to Mandarin. The record company won't invest their budget in foreign artists. They promote some Japan or several U.S. & U.K. idols. Pay few attention to Euro singers let alone promotion. I know the sales of Sandra albums are O.K. not bad without any advertising here. They neglect her on purpose? And I haven't seen her MTV for so many years. Less than 10 times before 92 as I recall. She could've became big hit if I'm in charge of this case. I'm seeking similar style of music , by chance.

Till I find Princessa " Calling You " album this year. 18 great tracks on it. Though there're only 12 melodies plus 6 extra Spanish version. ( That's quite enough ). You don't feel repetition but love them as well. Surprisingly Sarah Brightman sings backing vocals for her and co-written 3 songs with Peterson. And the whole album is totally Sandra style. So sorry I didn't found Princessa earlier. Because her debut Spanish album is out of print in Euro market now. ( And never been released in Taiwan ).

I feel a little bit disappointed about this album. They choose guitars as main instruments instead of keyboards just meant to be hard, loud, and flat. Mostly they belongs to two type of music : Pop-Rock and nice Ballad. So vaguely the essence of Sandra remains this time. ( I've got the reason to believe lots of Princessa fans came from Sandra's ). Most of the songs composed by Meissner & Schwarz. Title song is just O.K.. The most impressive and my favo is " It Just Begun ". I personal feel the prelude resembles to " Send Me An Angel " an 80s dance hit by " Real Life ". " The Way The Story Goes " is a new adaptation from " Only An Ocean Away " by Sarah Brightman. 50% are the same. The 3rd remake of " Once In A Lifetime " from Gregorian to Brightman. " I Was Wrong " and " Tell Her " are pretty good. All in all, I'm still prefer " Calling You " album, It's a masterpiece compare to the new one. Go find it if you can.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, October 8, 1999

The catch is that the whole album is nice, so it's not like ya're just buying the whole album just because that particular song is there. In another word: the album is brilliantly super, I simply wuv it & recommand it highly
