...there wouldn't be any more pointless zombie games. This solidifies it, there will be. Hoo-freaking-rray! *sigh* One day game makers will stop pandering to 5-year olds who love zombie games. How bout you put your minds together and come up with a REAL concept for a game. I know, what a stunning idea.
I am sorry you feel that way. I personally am 20 (not 5) and quite enjoy many zombie games (and am very much looking forward to this one). Yes, the market is somewhat flooded with zombie games right now, but that's because they're fun and people, like myself, enjoy them. Plus, have you watched any of the sample-game-play footage or trailors? It looks like the free running element and the increased vulnerability at night are going to give Dying Light a much more strategic survival aspect in contrast with most (if not all) other zombie games which have a more aggressive, shoot everything that moves play style.
Yeah, because why would the game manufacturer's want to create games that people want to play? How boring.....right? They should call you personally and ask you want YOU want to play and them make a game for you. Games like this are not written for, nor are they supossed to be for "5 year olds". This game will most likely be rated M. So what does a more highly evolved gamer like yourself play?
Something where the devs have to put in a little effort and not just rip ideas from every game from the last 8 years. Y'know come up with something new for a change. Watch Dogs looks like a nice concept. Open environment. Huge flexibility. Sadly that game was delayed, but that's the kind of thing I look forward to. Not another cliche, "Oh the world is ending, here's a shotgun with endless ammo. Go kill the undead." Pathetic.
I think the key to this game becoming a big hit is the weapon crafting. SEE BORDERLANDS. Borderlands became so addictive because of the absurdity of the weapons. If you can craft an absurd weapon in a game, you will attract a lot of peeps... zombie game or not.
