IBM's NetVista A40 is reasonably priced desktop capable of performing most any business computing task with aplomb. It comes with 1 GHz Pentium III chip, 128 MB of memory (expandable to 512 MB), 20 GB hard disk drive, 48x CD-ROM drive, and networking support. The business-oriented Windows 2000, rather than the consumer-oriented Windows Me, is installed in this configuration. Lotus SmartSuite and Lotus Notes client licenses are included as well.
