5.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative & Easy To Read book
I found this book to be most helpful with discussing the causes, treatments, and the future of IBS. It is easy to read and I really liked the question and answer format because I asked alot of those same questions myself. This book has definitely helped me to understand more about IBS and ways that I can deal with it. WORTH THE READ!!

1.0 out of 5 stars not as good as others
This book is a series of questions and answers. It did not give me a plan of attack to feel better. I preferred the book "Irritable Bowel Solutions" by John Hunter because it covers different types of IBS, diet and fiber. Some types of IBS are not helped by increasing fiber intake unless you use the correct type of fiber that does not ferment. I also liked "What Your...

Dr. Ashkan Farhadi's book is a must read for anyone diagnosed with IBS and anyone who is interesed in gastroenterology. It is a very comprehensive and appropriately detailed discussion on IBS. It successfully addresses a wide variety of concerns and questions patients with IBS will have. The book's question and answer format makes for an enjoyable read. An excellent book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful and informative, October 31, 2008
This review is from: I Have IBS...Now What?!!! A Comprehensive Guide for Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (Paperback)
This book contained a tremendous amount of useful information for me. I enjoyed reading each part of it and did not put it down until I finished it. I have a very good GI doctor that I trust. But, I could never imagine, I could have got that much accurate and scientific information in a very simple format even in 10 or more visit to my doctor's office. Thanks a lot for putting together this helpful guide.

This review is from: I Have IBS...Now What?!!! A Comprehensive Guide for Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (Paperback)
The book provides a lot of information about the causes of IBS and potential treatments. It gets into the technical info regarding how the nervous system works and covers how the condition can have food and mental triggers, explaining why when you eat food one time it will cause a problem and not another time.

There is also an associated website which can allow for further learning once the book is finished.

I have found the condition to be more common than I thought and have recommended this book to friends that have the same problems.

This review is from: I Have IBS...Now What?!!! A Comprehensive Guide for Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (Paperback)
This book is now my guide to controling my IBS. It answered 90% of my questions. A visit to Dr. Farhadi was even more helpful. Before I read this book, I was struggling, but now I'm having success. All my fellow sufferers must read this book!
