2.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but..., July 16, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: IC Projects (Paperback)
Book for those who want to build a bunch of simple devices without going into details on circuit theory. Schematics are poorly printed, but that may fit into author's desire to make you explore? Once you decode schematics, circuits seem to work fine. However, all projects are already seen, so nothing new and spectacular. Clock, AM radio, VU meter, counter...sounds familiar? If one thing to say in favour of this book is that Carl is the rare one that mentioned Nikola Tesla (the greatest). Even if he did that in the end of the book and even if definition of Tesla's work is not completely accurate. Not for beginners. And Carl, what is wrong with Istanbul?
