We wear these boot chains year round in our firefighting duties. In the winter thay are great in the snow and ice, especially when were are on a search and rescue. The rest of the year they are great for big-rig spills on the freeway, for muddy conditions and they are super for the mossy surface on roofs especially during the spring rains. Whatever your traction needs, these will fit the bill...

I bought a pair of Yak Trax which lasted me about four times before they broke. Very disappointing. I then ordered a pair of these. They don't grip the Ice as good as Yak Trax, but at least they are built sturdy enough to last. Over all, I'm satisfied with the product and think it's worth the money.

These chains work very well in slippery conditions. They are easy to put on, and they are lightweight and comfortable to walk around. They seem well-made. We have two pair and bought another pair for an elderly neighbor, who loves them.

I got these after I fell flat on my back on ice. I am so impressed with the traction, the EASE in putting them on and off, the quality...two thumbs up!

Nice, durable, well-made product that absolutely does not work. The chains roll underfoot, and they slip on ice as though you were wearing skates. I don't see any purpose for these except as decoration, and dangerous decoration at that. They'll make you fall!

I slipped and fell on ice while trying this shoe chain for the first time. Returned immediately. I found that the ICEtrekkers Shoe Diamond Grip worked much better for me.

I got these after getting a pair that had spring and rubber on the bottom of my boots. Those worked well on snow and ice, but some of my walking is on a road which took a toll on the rubber. The ICEtrekkers work much better for me. If I need another pair of these I would buy the ICEtrekkers.

I purchased these to put on my Salomon winter boots to wear for snow clearing when my first pair of YakTrax broke. For pushing snow around I did feel they worked really well except that snow really balled up on the metal when it was really cold and Within a couple of weeks of use a metal rivet had pulled through the rubber and the chains were flopping. I'm not sure if this is typical or just a faulty pair, but I'm going back to Yak Trax this year because I was able to get a couple of pairs of Yaktrax pro from Eddie Bauer for less than the price of one pair of ICE Trekkers. I would have returned them, but unfortunately the shop in town had burned down!

Decided on these after looking at a lot of different traction devices. I needed something that would keep me from falling on ice, help me navigate through snow, and not have to be taken off to walk on concrete. These fit the bill perfectly! Have already saved me from what could've been some nasty spills. If you're in doubt, size up; I wear a women's 9 or 10 boot (depending on sock thickness) and the large is a good fit. Sturdy as they are, I'm still considering buying another pair just to have on hand; this is a product I never want to be without again in the winter.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my step-father who is always slipping and sliding around while trying to work. We tend to get a lot of snow around here, and it eventually gets packed down into a really smooth surface that ends up being horribly slippery. These fit his boots perfectly and are much better than the other brands I saw available. Because the bottom is entire made from metal and not plastic like other brands, I see these lasting for a long time!
