I found 5 errors in the practice exam questions and the solutions.
I wrote REA a letter that outlined these mistakes in great detail. REA did not respond to my letter. Five errors in the practice exam out of 132 questions seems like an awfully high error rate. I would not recommend this study guide.

This book gives a number of great tips and has really good practice tests that make taking the Basic Skills test far easier, definitely a product worth purchasing if you intend to become a certified teacher.

I found a couple of errors in this book, which really is unacceptable, but overall, it was a good enough
study guide. The IL Basic Skills test isn't very difficult. If you can read and understand what's in this book then you should do fine. The questions on the test aren't any more difficult than what's in this book. The most difficult thing for me was having to write the essay using a pencil and paper. I hate pencils.
