About the Author

David WygantDave is an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow Vigil member, and a Past Committee Chairman of Troop 205 of Apple Valley, Minnesota, one of the largest and most successful troops in the Chief Black Dog District and Northern Star Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is dedicated to boy leadership development through the patrol method, and is well known for his ability to recruit parents as enthusiastic adult leaders in support of the implementation of the Aims of Scouting (Character, Citizenship, and Fitness). Under his leadership, the Swamp Rhinos (adult patrol) of Troop 205 have and continue to model for the Scouts the ideal implementation of the patrol method as created by Scouting's founder Baden Powell and required by the Bylaws of the Boy Scouts of America.
