A friend had the suction cup on his Nuvi GPS break and it was too expensive to fix by ordering just the suction cup from Garmin. The price for the identical mount was anywhere from 29.95 tp 49.00 when he priced it himself. I said I would look on Amazon and I found this gem! It snaps right in, no tools necessary, and swivels much easier then the original mount and two planes of travel. It also has such a powerful suction cup that even before I flipped the lever to lock it in, it sucked right to the windshield and I couldn't pull it off. I kept this one and gave him my old one even though it still worked. My original mount would still come loose from time to time and fall to the dash. I would have to reset the cup 2 or three times a month. This one has not fallen off once. I will say that I can't think of one way I could improve upon the design. They even put the lever for locking the mount to the windshield on top of the unit at twelve o clock. I always had a hard time flipping the original at 6 o clock. Not enough room to get under there! I highly recommend you purchase this very inexpensive mount. Even though it is inexpensive it is of high quality design!

The suction on this car mount is great. Thankfully there is a tab that you can pull to release the suction from the windshield, otherwise I'm afraid I could never get it to come off. The suction is that good.
I also love that it has a swivel so that you can mount it anywhere, and swivel it so that you can see it. I have a Garmin Nuvi 765, and this fits it just right.

Well constructed, heavy duty even. But the ball mount was a tad bit small letting the Nuvi flop around. Had another mount and ended up using that one.

So far this has outlasted the manufacturer provided mount by about 3x. Easy to mount on windshield, easy to remove. Swivels and pivots so that you can see the GPS from any point of view. No complaints. Very happy with this product.

Our old mount did not continue to stay on the window or the disk that we had, so I was looking for a mount that looked more secure.

I bought this mount even though it is more expensive since it looked like it would do the job better.

My wife used it for a recent trip and complained about it. My son showed me the problem. The ball that clicks into your bracket that holds the GPS is to small. My son wiggled the mount and the GPS was just bobbing around loose. This is not one of the places that you can tighten as it is the ball that goes into the bracket and not where it is part of the bracket.

Just bought a new Garmin mount for half the price. I would not waste my money on this mount.

I bought this to replace the windshield mount of another product. This product is significantly better than my factory style mount. Mounts quick and stays stuck until I want to remove it.

I bought this mount for my Garmin 765t. I was really impressed when I received it and it performed very well for about a year with minimal effort required to attach it to the windshield. Now it won't adhere even after ten tries - but I do use the mount 1-2 times a week as I travel frequently.

The stock mount was too short for my large dashboard, plus it was unstable and didn't stay on the windshield all the time. This one puts the GPS in a better position, doesn't move at all, and has never fallen off.

I bought this mount to replace a broken stock suction cup for the Garmin 775T unit. This one is bigger. Where I didn't get vibration with the stock mount with this one I do get some vibration, but this is expected as this mount is over twice as long in the extended position.

This windshield mount doesn't fit as well in my car console box (I have to loosen the adjustment screw and fold the mount before putting it away) as the original mount did; but this is not a fault of the design.
