This is not a book for experienced anglers. Good for those who are starting. For the price, and knowing it's for begginers, it is great book with 5 stars.

If anyone is qualified to offer over 100 tips on freshwater fishing, it's Bill Dance. Short and sweet, each tip is interesting, informative, and full of little nuggets of advice that will make you itch to get out there and try them for yourself. The illustrations are helpful, too.

this book is not that informative as i personaly thought it would be. it doesnt go into very much detail. i would recondmend some of kevin vandams fishing books if ur wanting a more detailed books on bass fishing that talks about detailed fish techniques lures etc.

This book is simple to read and it is very focused. It has short tips that had beed very helpful in my bass fishing trips.

This book is not set up for advanced anglers since it does not go in depth. It is exactly what it says, 101 tips. Great book for beginners and, although not useful to me, would be a great little book for those starting out in the world of bass fishing.

It would have been nice to know that 90% of this book is related to Bass fishing alone. Not much for trout, crappie, catfish, etc. The author has a long resume of fishing but did not include anything of a personal experience (ie: best lures, techniques, etc).
I'll keep looking for a more comprehensive volume on fishing fresh (and salt) water.

You get 101 tips, but there is no detailed explanation behind them. A waste of time really.

I understand this book sells elsewhere for $15.99 and up. It is a small paperback version. My husband plans to put in his kayak when he goes fishing.

No effort was put into this book . He did have 101 tips but there was nos story line. disappointed

Bill Dance's fishin tips are easy to read & very informative. Reading it was like listening to your dad or favorite uncle tellin you all their deepest secrets to catchin the big ones. Things that only can be learned thru experience and passed on down to family & friends. It was well worth the investment. I can't wait to try out what I've learned next spring!
